TODOROKI WAS BAFFLED. He was caught all alone, at night, and in a park by a girl.
What made it even worse was he didn't know this girl at all... but she seemed to know him.
He looked him to her from the swing he sat on, the girl still smiling at him with a mocking look on her face.
He narrowed his eyes at her before asking the question. "I'm sorry, but do I know?"
She laughed and shook her head at him. "No you don't... but I know you. You're the son of Endeavor and your quirk is half hot half cold."
The girl proceeded to take the seat next to Todoroki without warning. He was starting to feel somewhat uncomfortable with what this girl knew about him.
Yet at the same time, he liked having someone sitting next to him at the moment. With how dangerously close the swings were he could feel her body heat.
He shook his head from the thoughts and proceeded to question the girl. "Can I ask who you are and how you know me? Also what your doing here?"
She turned her head slightly to look at him from the corner of her eye. Then back to look in front of her at the darkness of the night.
"My name is l/n y/n, that's who I am. I know you because of your famous father, he's a bitch by the way, and the sport festival. And I came here because I ran away."
Todoroki was slightly taken back by how easily she answered to questions. It was like she was giving away free candy.
But when he heard the last part he finally noticed the bag that sat next to her on the pole of the swing.
He assumed it must have been filled with necessities for living. He was intrigued in this girl to say the least.
He'd never meet someone so straight forward. Todoroki was a blunt person. He always spoke the truth to people but only to a extent.
It seemed this y/n girl didn't care at all.
"Can I ask what your doing here?"
Even though she spoke he still didn't answer. He realized he didn't get a good look at her until now.
She was gorgeous.
Her hair done in a half-up half-down hairstyle. It showed her ears that were adorned with what he could say was dozens of piercing.
She worse black sleeping shorts and a baggy black sweatshirt. The sweatshirt read 'Fine Line' on it.
Looking at her face he finally saw she had a silver septum piercing on her nose. The vibe he got from her seemed she really didn't care about things at all.
Another thing he noticed was the small 70's flower tattoo on her left kneecap.
Who was this girl?
"Hey peppermint, you gonna answer me? Or do you wanna keep staring more?" She smirked at him.
A faint blush appeared on Todoroki's cheeks once he realized he was stareing. "I'm sorry and I was out clearing my head." He said bluntly.
"At.." she checked the phone her hand. "Almost 10 at night? Must be some pretty fucked up thoughts, huh?"
He looked at her yet again and nodded. "A lot of things are on my mind and I needed a break..."
Her eyes seemed to light up at his words. y/n threw her phone to the ground next to her bag and started to swing on the swing set.
A carefree smile appeared on her face. It was a smile Todoroki longed to have, a feeling he longed to feel.
This girl, even though she was running away, seemed to have everything in the world Todoroki wanted.
That was freedom.
He was kind of envious of what she had. Wanting to feel that feelings he joined her on her actions.
He pushed his feet of the ground and swayed them back and forth. This wind picked up as he got higher.
His hair swayed front and back as he went up and down. He felt the carefree feeling but he didn't have the smile she had.
He wanted to see if this girl he had meet not twenty minutes ago could maybe help him. Maybe crack him open.
When y/n noticed the distant look on his face she stopped her swinging. Then grabbed his chain and stopped Todoroki as well.
"What's on your mind peppermint? You look upset." She pondered as she studied his face. She stared at the scar on his eye for a split second before looking at him normally.
"I was wondering if you wanted to spend tonight together... I need to keep my mind off of certain things." He looked down to his lap as he responded.
The girl thought before answering. She gave him the save smile as when they first meet as she lifted his head up by his chin.
"Great minds think alike peppermint."
Todoroki suddenly realized the nickname she was using. Was he really a peppermint?
He didn't have enough time to get his question answered because it seemed she was already sitting up from the swing.
She picked up her bag of necessities and put it on her back. She stared up at the sky before looking back down to him. Her hand grabbed the necklace that Todoroki just seemed to notice.
She motion for him to stand up like her. Todoroki complied and followed suit. They started to walk away from the playground and back to the dark streets of Japan.
"Let's go make some memories peppermint." y/n said to him. He looked at her finally bringing up what she said.
"My name is not peppermint. It's Todoroki Shoto." He informed her. She laughed at him and kept walking forward.
"For tonight your name is peppermint. You can call me y/n."
