??? POV:
All 5 of us have been at this table for quite some time now, fists clenched, jaws taunt and eyes squinted.
"We should do it."
"Are you certain?"
"Yes, they are ready."
I jumped up. "I disagree, do you know the kind of backlash this could have?!"
"Calm down, I'm sure it'll be fine by now..."
"Yes. All in favor say Aye"
"Aye"
"Aye"
"Aye"
"Aye"
"...."
"I'll be taking protective measures."
I stormed out of the room, slaming the door behind me.

??? POV:
Looking up at the giant torii always had always brought me a strange sense of serenity. It might have had something to do with the fond childhood memories of the place, or perhaps the knowledge that I was truly safe from anything once I passed through. Whatever it was I liked it, it was a nice change of pace from my normal day to day life. I shrugged of the thought as I continued through, heading towards the main building, where a certain red haired shrine maiden was waving to me.
As I got close she ran down the last stairs and wrapped me in a tight hug, exclaiming,
"Mio! you came!""Yes Miko, why wouldn't I come when a friend is in need of assistance?"
"Arigatou! you got here fine I assume?" she asked in a worried tone, frowning slightly.
"Yes, I'm fine, but thank you for worrying. What needs to be done around here?"
Cheerily, she responded, "That's good. I figured it would be nice to catch up over an ELITE lunch first, before we got to work with the daily cleaning," while giggling slightly.
She grabbed my hand and started pulling me around the main building, towards one of the side structures that looked slightly like a living abode. As I passed through the threshold, I could smell the truly ELITE dinner that Miko had prepared for us. Taking off my shoes and leaving them on the genkan as I passed. We sat at the table, with me breathing in deeply to take in the wonderful aroma.
Miko fidgeted a bit before asking, "How does it look? Did I do good?"
"It smells and looks amazing Miko. Now shall we dig in? Itadakimasu!"
"Hai! Itadakimasu!"
"Oishii desu!" I exclaimed almost immediately upon taking a bite.
"Arigatou! I tried my best to cook something you'd enjoy. After all, it's been a little while since we last saw each other. How's life been so far in the city? Nobody is treating you too harshly?"
I hesitated a bit before answering, unsure if I should reveal the whole truth or not. In the end honesty won out.
"Honestly? It's not the greatest. People in japan are still really racist to us magical beings. Just the other day some thugs tried to jump me, saying that <As a wolf, you don't need your wallet right?>," I finished with a bit of venom in my voice while quoting yesterday's assailants.
