6: Soulmate

It happened 2 years ago when Oli was still a 12 year old girl who reluctantly goes to school as a Grade 6 student.

One week before her brother's graduation, Pachi decided to have a house party while their parents are away to visit their  Lolo and Lola who lives in the province. At siyempre, nagpaalam si Pachi sa kaniyang magulang that he will host a little get together with some friends in school. Noong una ay skeptical ang parents nila, especially their father, but Pachi always have a trick under his sleeves.

Kilala si Pachi sa kaniyang signature trademark na boyish smile. If you add that up with his charming personality, isang lethal weapon ito na puwede niyang gamitin in ang situations.

Their parents can't resist their golden boy, and gave him the permission to do what he wants. Little did they know, hindi isang maliit na get together na may pa potluck ang mangyayari sa kanilang bahay.

It was a full blown house party.

Now, Pachi is a role model student. He was at the top of their class and was well liked by her classmates and the teacher. Lahat siguro ng mga seniors ay pumunta sa bahay nila kasama ang kanilang loud rap songs that disturbed the whole neighborhood.

Since their parents are away, Oli carpooled with her friend Cosmo. After school, dinala ng Mom ni Cosmo ang dalawang bata to watch the movie premiere of Zootopia. Oli texted her brother that she might be going home late dahil nga manunuod pa sila ng movie.

Her brother's reply to her message confused Oli. Parang ayaw pa nga siya pauuwiin ng kuya niya, telling her that she should just take her time there and do whatever she wants, dahil wala naman ang parents nila.

Mga 9 p.m na halos naka uwi si Oli sa kanilang bahay. She was about to jump off from the car but she noticed a bunch of strangers entering their lawn.

" Who are these people, Oli? " Cosmo's Mom asked her as she rolled down the car's window to get a better look at the house.

" I don't know po. " Oli took her backpack and nudged a sleeping Cosmo at her side. " Probably just kuya's classmates. "

" Hmm. I see. " Cosmo's Mom replied, a bit worried for the the two unsupervised children. " Cosmo and I will pick you up bukas ulit, ha? "

" Ok po. Bye Cosmo! " Oli jumped out of the car , closing the dooor behind her. Hinintay niya muna na umalis yung kotse ni na Cosmo bago siya naglakad papunta sa bahay nila.

Since she was smaller compared to the highschoolers around her, Oli managed to squeeze in to the door of their house without being noticed.

She was feeling kind of uneasy seeing so many strangers in their house. Pero she did remember Pachi telling her that he might have people over while their parents are away.

She just didn't expect that it will be this many.

Oli finds it difficult to make friends, especially girls her age. Nabully kasi siya dati noong Grades 2 siya dahil sa school bag niya na Pokemon.

Out of all the girls in her class kasi, siya lang ang may Pokemon na bag habang yung ibang mga babae ay may mga di-gulong na barbie na mukhang overgrown na lunchbox.

One girl teased her if Oli wants to be a guy, and she ended being mocked by everyone because of that.

Thinking about it, Oli finds it ridiculous and shallow that she got bullied just because she had a Pokemon school bag. Kung tutuusin nga ay baka mas mahal pa ang limited edition na Pokemon bag niya na binili pa nila mismo sa Japan kaysa sa bag nang ng bully sa kaniya.

Oli can talk to other girls, if she wants too. It's just that she finds it easier hanging out with Cosmo and Vista. Mayroon na siyang dalawang kaibigan ng panahon na iyon. She doesnt need too many.
