"Opening up"
Viviana woke up a few hours later still holding her dad's hand. Loki was sound asleep. Viviana let out a tiny laugh. Viviana turned her head and saw it was dark and then fell back into a dreamless sleep.

The next morning Viviana decided she was finally going to tell everyone about her past. Nobody knew the true extent of her dark young. It was something she was ashamed of. But it was time to come clean. Soon she summoned everyone to her room.
"So, I've thought a lot about this. I've decided to explain my past," Viviana said as Pietro grabbed her left hand.
"When I was 9 my parents died. I was thrown from foster home to foster home and each time, I would be abused. My mutant powers flared when I was 7 and my stepfather had abused me. I ended up killing each of my foster families due to my power. Scared and alone I was taken to America. When I was ten I met two Professors, Charles Xavier and Hank McCoy, I was one of the first students of the Xavier Insitute for gifted youngsters," Viviana explained.
"During my time at the school, I was feared by everyone. I had no control over my abilities. I'd have nightmares or visions that made the house shake. I was fifteen when I had to defeat a villain known only to the mutant world as Apocalypse. Then just after graduation, my friends. Who I think of as family had to fight me. I absorbed something called the phoenix force. It enhanced all of my abilities. The smallest thing could set me off," Viviana explaining choking up. She gripped Pietro's hand tightly.
"Because of it, I ended up killing the only person who was a mother figure to me. I felt guilty. I still do. Someone then told me that I could trust them. But only wanted me for my power. I killed her and transformed into the phoenix that flew over Paris. I landed back in New York City around the same time the Avengers were created. That brings us to the present day," Viviana explained wiping some tears.
"There's more isn't there?" Wanda asked Viviana nodded and her hands shook from the anxiety. Wanda gasped catching an accidental glimpse of her mind. Wanda's put her hand to her face.
"Yes. But I can't. I can't relive the memories," Viviana said tears welling in her eyes. Everyone understood.

Viviana sat at a piano, her fingers grazing the keys. Then she looked at the tattoo of a teal ribbon on her wrist. She bit her lip, her fingers started to play the keys on the piano. Singing about her pain.
"I'm more than. I'm more than. I'm more than. Body you can't see my body. I have more to offer than what's under my clothes. Trust you? Why should I trust you? You don't even listen when I say no. I'm not a dime dozen. Oh, my skin golden but you can't show the whole damn world~I'm one I'm a billion The only thing I'm missing is my worth I hope you're proud. Bodies were more than our bodies. If you can't accept that then please just go," Viviana sang.
Down in the lounge area, everyone could hear Viviana. Then they looked toward Wanda.
"Does that have anything to do with what you saw?" Pietro asked fearfully. Hoping it wasn't what he was thinking. Wanda nodded and looked down.
"All her thoughts are negative. The words that she thinks, it's horrible," Wanda said Pietro didn't need to hear anymore. He ran up to Viviana who was sitting on the flower rocking back and forth sobbing. When Pietro tried to approach her she screamed.
"Please! Stop!" Viviana screamed. Steve came running in.
"She having a PTSD Episode," Steve explained as Nat crouched in front of her. Slowly calming her down until everyone flew back. Red cracks appeared on Viviana's face as she looked up from her knees.
A single tear slipped down her face. She quickly wrote a note saying she needed to leave. Then she grabbed her long red leather jacket and flew out of the Avengers compound. She knew where she was going. And she knew they could help her control her power.
