Begonia Hugh : The Meeting

Chapter 7

"Those bitches don't know who they're messing with" Kacey said.

"Well it looks like they will find out sooner or later" Casey scoffed.

"Let's forget them and eat" Katherine said.

"You're right girl, no needs to waste our time thinking of those spoilt fools" I said.

As we all bursted into laughter about how all these childish acts will end in two weeks to come. All of a sudden I heard gasps, I turned around to find Dylan on one knee with a rose in his hand.

"Dylan what are you doing" I asked

"Begonia Joanna Hugh will you do me the honours of being my prom date" he asked.

"What!!!".

"I said will you be my prom date" he asked one more time.

"Dylan I am so sorry but my answer is still no".

"Why, why, why don't you want to go with me to prom did I do anything wrong to upset, if so please forgive me just don't deny me" he pleaded.

I have my reasons I said a little sad that I hurt his ego because trust me you don't get to see Dylan begging like this every day.

"What could those reasons be Dylan" asked persistently.

"Dylan I'm honestly not doing this to hurt you nut I just can't be your prom date" I told him though it broke my heart for me to see him begging.

"But Begonia I love you, I have a crush on you right from the fourth grade when we first met. You've been the only one I had on my mind and the only one in my heart just give me this chance to prove my self to you" he begged.

"I just can't, I'm sorry" I said as I ran out off the cafeteria.

"BJ wait" I heard.

I stopped to see who was calling me and there I saw my friends running towards me.

"I'm sorry guys I just can't be his prom date" I told them as I sat on the floor in the hallway.

"Why, I mean his good looking, he finally confessed his feelings to you though he told me when we were in the seventh grade" Casey said as she joined on the floors followed by the others.

"Hold on a sec, you knew about it and didn't tell me for five good and long years" I ranted.

"I wanted to but he told me he would tell you himself so I didn't and he did come to tell you that same day I found out he had a crush on you. Unfortunately for him overheard Richard asking you to be his girlfriend (Richard's girlfriend) you accepted and he knew he didn't stand a chance to be with you as far as Richard was around until now when you guys recently broke up before he started trying his luck again".

All this came down like rain. I was shocked. Though I had teensy little tiny crush on Dylan, but I still can't be with him and i think is time I told my friends why.

"I'm leaving" I said.

"Come on stay in school, it won't be that bad" Kacey said.

"No that is not what I meant. I mean I am leaving California on prom day or the next day".

They all looked at me as if I grew ten heads or something.

"You're joking right" Casey asked.

"No".

"I don't get it" Katherine said.

"Actually I did plan on leaving the country but I don't know yet" i said.

"What!!!, you mean to tell me we will never see each other again is that it. Or we could never go to the same university" Kacey questioned.

"How could you be so selfish so you wanted keep this from all of us and just what, up and disappear" Casey sobbed.

"No I was going to tell you" I said as I bit my lip to stop myself from crying.

"When, when exactly where you planning on telling us" Kacey asked angrily.

I was silent, to be honest I didn't know when.

"I thought as much, you never planned on telling us. So much for best friends" Kacey sneered.

"I'm sorry" I said as I broke down in tears.

"So where exactly are you going" Casey asked when she was a little sobered up.

"That I can't tell" I said as I wiped the tears from my cheeks.

"You are so....., ugh, I can't even look at you first you are leaving now you won't tell us where you are going" Casey said.

"Why did you all of a sudden just chose to leave, is there something wrong" Katherine asked.

I didn't get the chance to answer that question as we heard the bell rang.

"I guess it's time to go to class" Kacey said avoiding me.

"Kacey please don't avoid me" i pleaded.

"Let's get to class before we become late" Kacey said as she begin to walk to class followed by the others.

"Guys come on".

"You should've told us from the very beginning and maybe we won't have acted like this" Casey said.

"Yeah, I get you go through things, so do all of us,  but we share our troubles because we never can tell when, from whom and how we will get a solution and fix the problem plus it shows that we care or love each other" Katherine explained.

"Mine can't be fixed" I shouted.

"If you want to go just go no one is stop you anymore though it seems you have no intention of staying" Casey said

"Of course I want to go and you know why, because I want to know what's wrong with me. I want to know if i'm going crazy, perhaps it's just an illusion that every time I step into Merry woods I feel alive, I can the flaps of a butterfly, even the drop of dew, I can also see pollen grains and that is why u want to leave to figure out why all these weird and strange things are happening to me and I know you'll all think I'm crazy that why I didn't want to say anything. So tell me Katherine can you guys fix the problem?".

"You're not the only one who is witnessing strange and weird things" they all said.

"You guys too" I asked surprised about what I'm hearing.

"Yes" they answered.
