I'm sitting here enjoying my picnic with my friends trying to rid my mind of all thoughts involving Elijah and the last text I just received. Luckily the girls stopped talking about the whole thing with Elijah and we're on to other topics. Gina was going on about this ball the school was having to start the new year. She was telling us how beautiful and grand it was and how much fun it was going to be and that we are ALL going whether we liked it or not. None of us tried to fight her on it knowing we'd be wasting are breath.

Gina and I had to leave the girls to go to are developed language art class. Most of the walk there she told me in even more detail how amazing the ball was going to be. I didn't mind listening to her , I'd always enjoyed listening will my friends talk on and on about thing they were passionate about. As we turned the hall I saw blindingly blond hair.

"Hey! It's you again." Julia says in an overwhelming enthusiastic voice.

"Hey , Julia." I say with a small smile.
She looks me over for a second before speaking.
"What's your name again I'm drawing a totally black." She says looking straight at me. She couldn't remember because she never knew it.
"Joey." I replie. She scrunches her face.
"Joey, what a masculine name " She seems to mean this in a kind way though I'm not sure how one could perceive that as a compliment. I look at her blackly.

"Kidding! Sorry not the best with new people." She reminds me. And I almost felt bad for her it didn't seem like she was trying to offend me.
"It's fine." Hopping to reassure her and conclude the conversation as it began. Just  as Gina was going to excuse us Julia shims in.
"So, I heard you're working on a big assignment with Elijah. How did that happen?" She asks as though I owned it to her to tell her. You know what, I'm not feeling so bad for her anymore. I glaze over at Gina who is wearing at tight smile, trying desperately not to laugh. I look back at Julia who is eyeing me expectingly. She presses me further when it's clear I won't be answering her.

"It's really good of you to ask him and get yourself in with the student body." I look at her with shock in my eyes. I knot my brown together and my mouth gaps open slightly.
"Right that was probably his intention when he asked me." making her looks at me with disbelief. She quickly regarded her self and smirked at me.
"Sure, okay, anyway I need to run got a class, maybe we could grab coffee sometime?" She says in a singsong  voice dragging out the words. She scurries off doing her signature wiggly finger wave goodbye. I look back at Gina who gives me a question look. I let her know not to worry about. We had to class as Gina continues to babel on about random topics. Like always Gina spends more time talking them listen. I laugh silently to myself at how much she can talk about.

Class passes by pretty fast. Most likely due to Gina very interesting stories. Walking out of class Gina and I split up after saying are goodbyes. Walking to my room I hear my phone ringing in my pocket. Wobbling around holding all my belongings in one hand as I use the other to grab my phone I see Jade calling.

"Hey Jade." Shaking slightly as I try and balance all my things as I rest my phone between my ear and my shoulder.

"Hey? You okay ?"worry laces in her words.
"Oh yes! Just waking to my room. What's up."
"Noting just bored."
"What you doing this weekend." She continues.
"There's this ball thing this Saturday so I'm going shopping this Friday." I say grab my key from my back pocket and unlocking the door to my room.
"Ugh, I'd kill to go shopping."  On the other end I hear her open a door. I drop all my things onto the floor and flop onto the bed.
"Yeah I'm mostly only going for the food." imagining all the food the could have. Hearing Jade laughs bring me back to reality.
"Of course you are what you planning on wearing?"
"Not sure."
Jade starts to give me numerous suggestions and insists I show her what I end up picking. She took over the conversation telling everything that had happened the past few days. I spoke for a while intel I was late and we ended the call. I got myself ready for bed.
