Chapter 1: Royalty meets Southside

With Cheryl

Cheryl couldn't help but to roll her eyes at a note her mother left. Her mother has always looked down on her because of what happened between her and Heather Chamberlin. Heather was forced out of Riverdale after her mother caught her in bed with the servant. Cheryl had fallen in love with the blonde. Much to Cheryl's dismay she's still pure when it comes to sex. Heather and Cheryl were so in love with each other to the point where Cheryl was about to lose her virginity. Cheryl sighs as she thinks about Heather, she can't help to wonder if she's okay.

A knock disturbs the princess out of her daydream.

"Your grace?" A familiar voice calls from outside of the door.

Cheryl sighs. "Come in." The redhead yells.

The door opens revealing Midge Klump. Midge has been a good friend of Cheryl's for years, the grew up together. She's the one who kept Cheryl's secret about her and Heather. Midge closes the door, so they can talk in private.

"Midge, I've told you that you can call me Cheryl." The redhead laughs giving the girl a hug.

Midge chuckles. "I know, but your mother is around, so I've got to be respectful." Midge pulls away.

Cheryl nods. "So, what's going on?" Cheryl asked placing the letter her mother sent her on the table.

"Well Archibald is on his way here. You know he's been dying to see you along with Reginald. I also hear that Tina and Ginger are on their way back from Greendale." Midge shrugs.

"I'm excited to see both Archibald and Reginald, but not Ginger and Tina." Cheryl rolls her eyes.

"I understand. Betty has been trying to come to the castle along with her sister Polly. They said they have some news about Jason." Midge said.

Cheryl bites her lip. "What's the news?"

Midge sighs. "Well, Polly is pregnant with his children. They wanted to come and tell your parents, but I told them you should know first. I mean your parents will have a fit knowing Jason impregnated a woman out of wedlock."

"Of course, they will. How do I even get them here? If I send out horses, my parents are going to get suspicious." Cheryl sits down by her window and looks out of it.

Midge walks over to her friend. "Cheryl, you know Mrs. Alice owns that bakery that's in town. Let's go see her. I mean what's wrong with a little pastry?" Midge smiles.

"Hmm, I do crave for one of her infamous cherry pies." Cheryl licks her lips thinking about that delicious homemade cherry pie Alice makes.

Midge stands up. "Come on, let's go. Let's take Sir knights Clayton and Mason. I'm sure they're ready to have a break." Midge giggles.

"Hmm, good idea." Cheryl stands up and puts on some comfortable clothes. Midge turns her back so Cheryl can have some privacy. "It's okay, Midge." Cheryl said.

"I know, but I don't want to get in trouble, Cheryl. Your mother scares me." Midge said.

"I know. She scares everyone." Cheryl said walking out with Midge.

.....

Outside

Cheryl and Midge are outside looking for Cheryl's knights. She spots them giving some treats to a group of kids.

"There they are." Cheryl points over to them. They both walk over to the group with smiles.

Everyone stops in shock. "Your grace." Sir knight Chuck Clayton bows to her along with Moose.
