His Girlfriend

First of all, I would like to formally apologize for the misleading title... Just kidding I'm not sorry (: Also, this chapter is pretty short but whatever. I really like the song "La Jolla" so... check it out! This chapter is 825 words long. Enjoy!

Yamazaki was on her way to school as usual. She normally walked alone since she liked to walk to school early. She loved to have the morning sun in her presents while walking to school. It rejuvenated her to walk with a nice cool breeze before school. It kind of helps her wake up and get her ready for the long day ahead. She usually wasn't joined by anybody and when she was, it was normally when Aiki or Imai woke up early. Today though, she wasn't joined by anybody but the trees around her. She had her headphones in to separate herself from the world around her. It facilitated her to listen to "La Jolla" by Wilbur on loop while walking down on the cold sidewalk. 

When Yamazaki realized that she was close to the school, she turned down her music and looked around her. She saw the usual black cat next to the corner lamppost who she never found out if it was a stray or not, the group or children who she normally passed on the way to school, and a man outside mowing the lawn once a week even though the lawn would have been perfectly normal if he didn't mow it. It was a completely normal walk to school. Until it wasn't that is.

Kimora always came late or came right when the bell rang signing that class was about to commence. Yamazaki had never seen him on her walk to school. She honestly believed that it would have been more likely to see the twin on her way to school than Kimora and the twin walk from the opposite direction! Seeing Kimora on her way to school that day was a shock. The thing that was even more shocking about the sight though, was that Kimora was talking to a girl. The only times Yamazaki saw Kimora talking with girls were when they were in and he was talking to a classmate so it was pretty unusual. 

The girl he was talking to looked like she actually wanted to do be there. Well... kind of. Yamazaki couldn't be a hundred percent sure if she wanted to be there or if she was just pretending. She had long black hair as dark as the night sky right before dawn. The girl looked way out of his league but Yamazaki decided to not question it. Instead, she actually decided to just leave. It wasn't any of her business so she would not get involved. She continued to walk to school.

During class, Yamazaki wasn't listening to what her classmates were saying. When Nagisa-sensei decided to give his students free time to socialize amongst themselves, Yamazaki decided that she wanted to draw instead so she also wasn't following along with what her classmates were saying. They weren't usually talking about anything interesting so it didn't really matter either way though. That was at least until Kimora opened up his mouth. 

"Hey, guys I have something important to tell you," Kimora said to the group. He didn't normally didn't actually have important news when he said that so the group kind of ignored him. If he noticed that they ignored him, he sure didn't show it. He just continued talking. "I got a girlfriend."

The table when silent. They looked at their classmate disbelievingly. He didn't crack a smile or say it was a joke or anything of the sort, he just started back. Yamazaki definitely looked up from her drawing and join in on the staring. "What?" Kimora asked. He was confused why they were just staring at him. 

"You have a girlfriend?! Since when?" Koda asked his friend the question that they all had on their minds. Kimora smiled back, though the smile doesn't look like his usual smile. This smile was very silly since he was usually making jokes when he smiled. This time was different though. His smile looked... warm and affectionate. He must really like this girl.

"I've been dating her for about a week now! We're really happy together." Kimora said with the same smile on his face. The class stayed silent for a moment to recover from the shock. When they finally did, Hayashida was the first to speak. 

"When can we meet her!" She asked Kimora. He blushed a little before answering. 

"I mean, you can meet her tomorrow if she's fine with that. I'll ask her today when I see her." Kimora answered. Just then, the bell rang, signaling that it was time for snack. The classmates dispersed to get their snacks. For some reason, Yamazaki didn't have a good feeling about this.
