"Honey you're gonna be fine" I looked at my mom. We had just moved to New York a couple days ago because my dad found new business opportunities here. I didn't want to move, I was happy living my life back in Cali.
"You're not the one who has to go to a brand new school and make new friends" I rolled my eyes at her
"No but I do have to go out and see new potential partners. Now go you don't wanna be late for your first day of school"
"It's barely 7am school doesn't start till 8:30"
"I arranged a tour of the school for you, so you should head out. You don't want to keep them waiting"

I saw this guy who was looking around until he saw me "Are you Jaehyung park?"
"The one and only" I smiled at him
"Well I'm your tour guide Dan Humphrey. if you have any questions you can ask me" It took around three and a half hours for him to show me around the school, and the rest of the time was spent at some school assembly. This would've went a lot faster if he just stopped talking so much. "Do You wanna have lunch together since it's your first day?" He asked me
"Yah sure" I smiled at him, I can't believe this whole tour took the whole morning period. when we were walking out some girl stopped us
"Please don't tell me it's over" She looked worried
"You were there I thought it was pretty clear"
"No I don't mean our relationship I mean the assembly" I laughed but quickly covered it up with a cough when I saw the look dan gave me.
"I'm Serena. I don't think we met before" She smiled at me
"I'm Jaehyung, You can call me Jae thought. Yup I just moved here. Dan was showing me around and yah the assembly just ended"
"We should get going, come on Jae" Dan dragged me away from her
"What was that about?" I looked at him
"Nothing. Nothing" I gave him a look "Fine. I liked her and she liked me but then I found out she slept with her best friends boy friend I don't know it didn't feel right. Anyways I'll see you later I have to go see the usher for Dartmouth" I nodded my head at him

Tonight was Ivy party, I was of course invited. I'm hoping dan was invited to, besides my parents there's not really any one here that I know.
"Dan Hey" I smiled at him
"Hey Jae" next to him were to other people which I'm guessing are his family "This is my dad Rufus and my little sister Jenny" I shook both of there hands and smiled at them
"Well we better go start the music, and dan has to do his job" They both walked away, and I looked at dan confused by what they meant by "Job"
"I'm part of the refreshment committee, I didn't get invited so my dad found a way to make me invited"
"Ooooo I wanna be apart of the refreshment committee"
"Really? Why?"
"Because I'm bored and I don't know anyone else but you" I said
"Fine I guess you can" We walked over to the table and someone was already there
"I thought you were the only one you this lame committee" The person turned around and I saw that it was Serena. "Serena. Hey how are you?"
"I'm good thanks Jae" Dan and Serena looked at each other awkwardly a couple times "Yah I think I'm gonna go" she said once she saw someone guy walking towards us
"Nate" Dan said
"Dan. New guy" he nodded his head towards me
"Jae" We smiled at each other.
"I see you were talking to Dartmouth lit professor . You should mention his book the petting zoo or how his prostyle is influenced by early Faulkner and you'll be alright. Ah, or not." Nate and I looked at each other then back at dan all confused. Did he actually study this man? He must really want to go to Dartmouth.
"Why don't you go talk to him I need some air" He walked away, Dan looked over to me as if he was asking if it was alright for him to go.
"Go talk to him Dan. I mean you probably studied flash cards about that men, I'd be a waste for you not to meet him" He laughed and walked away. I was going to go find someone else to entertain me when someone bumped into me.
"Watch it" She looked at me with the nastiest glare. Geez she acts as if she wasn't the one to run to run into me "Hey I saw you. You were hanging out with Dan. Which most likely means you know Serena. I just wanna warn you about her, she's a snake she'll stab you right in the back, might even sleep with your boyfriend" So this was Serena's ex best friend, She walked up onto the stage "Excuse me, can I have everyones attention please. Every year our schools choose to support one local institution that we feel benefits our community. This year our schools have chosen to honor the Ostroff Centre."
"Oh my God" I turned around and saw the look on Serena's face. She did not look happy.
"It's because of their excellent program-me which aids so many young addicts and alcoholics, that a student here with us today is clean and sober... at least for now. Can I please have Serena Van Der Woodsen join me on stage?" Damn. That's just cruel. I looked over at Serena and she looked over at me. She looked like she was about to cry.
"Hi, I'm Serena Van Der Woodsen. I just wanna thank my friend, Blair Waldorf for recognising the Ostroff Centre and all of the good things that they do. Thanks Blair." She gave Blair a fake smile and clapped "In the Ostroff Centre, one of the main things that we learn is forgiveness"
"I Didn't know she was in rehab" Dan said
"Who cares. It ain't anyone else's business but hers and I bet many people have been to rehab" I told him
"She wasn't the one there. It was her brother" Jenny smiled at me which I returned and turned my attention back to Serena
"And we ourselves must ask for forgiveness from those whom we've wronged, Without this forgiveness, innocent people get hurt-" Blair cuts off Serena,
"Thank you Serena! Thank you! Thank you!" Serena runs off the stage and I go after her to make sure she's okay.
"Serena. Serena" She turned around with tears in her eyes
"Sorry I just wanna go home. I need to go home" She left, I went over to Blair and dragged her away from the everyone else
"What's wrong with you? Probably a lot of things because no good person would do that to anyone"
"You have no idea what's going on between us, so why don't you mind your business" She glared at me
"That-" I was cut off
"Blair" It was that kid that was next to Serena during the speech "Serena's not a patient at the center. I am" So all she was trying to do was protect this kid which I guessing is her brother since they Kinda look a lot
"I've never seen you drink" Blair glared at him, she has some angry issues she needs to sort out.
"I'm not an alcoholic. I Did this" He pulled up his sleeves and showed us his wrist, he explained to us and walked away. I turned to look at Blair
"Wow you really must feel stupid and like a huge bitch" She scoffed at me and walked away. While I was on my way home I texted Serena making sure she was ok, I got her number from Dan. I just wanna sleep.
