I'm so glad I didn't have any school, finally gave me a chance to get away from all of this. I decided to call Dan because 1. He was practically the only person that I really know 2. I want to have some fun 3. He's the only person I know
"Dan lets hangout today. I need someone to show me around the city"
" I can' maybe next time, I'm supposed to be meeting Serena at this photoshoot thing" I groaned "but now that I think about you should come to. Blairs gonna be there and I can only be around her for so long" I laughed
"She's not that bad" memories from Ivy week started to flood my mind "Ok she might be a little tough to be around"
"Yah A little" He said sarcastically, after we finished our conversation I started getting ready to head out.
"Going somewhere Honey" My mom said
"Yah I'm just going to hangout with a friend"
"what'd they look like? What do their parents do? What's their parents number? What time will you be back? where exactly are you going? Whe-" I cut my mom off
" Mom chill out it's not that serious. We're just gonna hangout for a couple of hours then I'll be right back" I walked out of the Apartment and made my way over to the address that dan had sent me.
"finally your here I thought you wouldn't show up" I looked down at my watch
"You said to get here at noon. It's 12:03 Dan" I looked at him confused
"Still 3 minutes late. It's always better to be early than late" I rolled my eyes at him. As we were walking to the roof we heard someone coming down stairs and some shouting, dan pushed me back because he wanted to listen into other peoples conversation.
"You can't stand it when the spotlights are on me for once, eh?"
"What are you talking? I was told that we would do together. What did you not get my message?"
"And this morning, then? When you saw the call sheet, my name was there? I was not the hair, makeup, this was normal? The locker room wearing only your name, you've thought it was an oversight?"
"I was told that you had of late, and they asked me to make the catch before. Blair, they told me you wanted me to do. "
"And you have believed them?"
"Look Blair, I am encouraged to do so. Why I would try to steal what I have to push?"
"Because you take me for everything! Nate, my mother ..." Poor Blair starting to feel kinda bad for her
"Blair!"
" You can't help it, that's who you are. I just thought that this time, it would be different. I should have known that I was wrong." She turned to look at us when she started walking out "The poor and the judgmental are here. Great" She walked out
"Why don't you go talk to her and I'll talk to Serena?"
"Hell no! Are you trying to have me killed dan?" I grabbed onto his shoulders
"I thought you said she wasn't that bad" He smirked at me
"That was before I knew you were gonna send me into a lions den"
"Just go talk to her. She's sad and lonely, she just needs someone to be there for her even if she doesn't know it"
"Fine" I grunted and walked over to where she headed. I saw her sitting in one of the hallways and sat a couple feet away from her
"Did Serena send you?"
"No"
"I Normally wouldn't be around you this much and instead be playing my revenge for calling me a stupid and a bitch " I laughed
"My.....My dad left my Mom and I a couple months ago. Started a new family with him and this women he was having an affair with. Really ugly women she is" I laughed to cope with my sadness "There always planning out stuff that we could do just the three us us, Kinda seems like they want her to replace my mom when she's been nothing but kind to them. Every time I go and see him I tell myself that 'today I'll finally get the truth. Why did my dad do this to us? To my mom? I can:t just keep pretending I'm ok with all of this. Its either that women or us' but I can never get the courage to him any of this"
"Why?"
"I don't know why to be honest. It might be because I'm scared or because I just don't care about him any more but at least I want to be able to tell him so he knows how I feel"
"You know I never thought you'd like this" I looked at her offended
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"Well just the other day you called me a stupid bitch and now you're trusting me with this"
"Well I'm just trying to let you know that even if we barely know each other and I did say those things to you I'm always here if you need someone to talk to" I smiled at her
"Thanks. Now come on You have to go talk to your dad and I'll have to talk to my mom, Deal?" I nodded my head and walked out the door while she went up to the roof. Theres no way in hell I'm taking to my father about that.
Dan - "Serena and I are outside if you wanna come say hi" I got a text from dan
"Hey Jae" Serena leaned in for a hug but I was going for more of a handshake. We both awkwardly laughed and just ended up just giving either other a hug
"I have to go, I have to go meetup with Blair but I'll see you both later" She walked away
"We came all this way for nothing"
"We didn't. We came here to have a lovely chat with them then come back to my place, my dad's been asking about the first friend I've made"
"Don't you have Serena" He gave me a look that said 'just shut up' which I laughed, After spending time with dan and his family I decided to go home.
Having that chat with Blair made me realize how much of a prick my dad really is. Trading mom my in for that hideous women like if she's some sort of card.
"Mom?"
"I'm in the living room honey" I walked over to her and kissed her cheek "How did it go with your friend?"
"It went pretty good"
"Good I'm glad." She smiled at me as she looked up from her magazine
"Mom lets go do something you and I. We haven't done something together in a while" She Agreed and smiled

YaY finally put out another chapter! Was vibing to house of cards while writing this. Btw this is not edited so sorry for any grammar errors
How was this chapter? Blair and James are finally starting to form a small little friendship
