(Y/N's POV)

I've been part of this dojo for almost 3 years so I knew Id be ready for this meet. I'm one of the best fighters this group has ever seen and I know i'm cocky but if i keep telling myself I'm good i wont get in my own head. There are a few kids I get along with but I mostly keep to myself, keeping your circle small makes life easier to get through. This competition was a little out of town so Sensei decided wed stay the night in a nearby motel by the arena, how he convinced parents he'd be okay to manage all the kids is still beyond me. On the bus ride there, I had this sinking feeling but I couldn't tell myself what it was, just like a ball in my stomach sinking. Once we arrived, of course Sensei was frazzled and disorganized but refused to ask for help, and he realized he didn't know who was going to be in what room. That's when i started looking around and realized i'd have to bunk up with one of these kids, 80% of them being the ones I couldn't stand being around. I just don't-

"uh is anyone sitting here?" my train of thought was being interrupted by some kid maybe a few years younger than me asking me if the usually open seat was going to be taken by anyone.

"nope i don't think so it's all yours" I gestured to the spot while moving my duffel bag.

I usually didn't have anyone sitting next to me mostly from the "fear" I had accumulated throughout the years, but honestly I think people just avoid me because I'm a hard person to talk to. I made a name for myself the first time I ever walked into the Cobra Kai dojo, being that the first day everyone started, I was forced to deck a boy in the mouth, I swear I had never seen that much blood come out of a person until that afternoon. It had been so hard the impact made my hand sting for a good few hours after that. I quickly became one of Sensei's favorites because I would do what I was told just because I didn't want the disadvantage of being one of the only girls on top of having Sensei give me a hard time. He just seemed like the t-

The bus came to a slowing halt and as a i looked up we passed the sign leading into the motel. I looked around and all i gathered from this place is that it hadn't been redone in a good twenty years but then again i dont know where else we could afford to have 60 kids together. Sensai stood up and started giving some speech out of his ass about being careful not to ruin anything in the hotel room, specifically looking at the 3 kids sitting in the front, Miguel, Hawk and Aisha. We were instructed to leave the bus so I grabbed my backpack and my duffel bag and went to stand up and remembered the railing above my head was only about 4 feet so I got the rude reminder when i slammed my skull into the metal poles that usually hold luggage. As i was standing outside the bus and began moving to the front entrance of the motel, i started thinking about how i'm gonna have to share a room with someone, knowing my luck it'll be someone I don't get along with. I got put in room 362 and so far I thought it was an odd number so I could be alone, thank god. Sensei came by one last time and he had a group of kids trailing behind him, im guessing ones that didn't have roommates yet. I didn't get to see who was behind him so I just continued to arrange my things on one side of the room in worst case scenario i ended up with anyone. I heard the knock at my door and I opened the door to see, knowing it was just Sensei with the clipboard of names, mine having no name next to it. I look up to see who's behind him and for some reason the only person still with him is Hawk.

I've never been so pissed in my life, you're telling me not a single kid wanted to bunk up with him?

" Okay so you two are the only co ed room so, uh, no funny business, you hear me?" Sensei says as he turns around and smacks Hawk's chest. Hawk walked in and closed the door behind him.

"Just keep your shit on your side and we won't have any issues and-" i was saying as i was turning around to cross the room before I was cut off.

"yeah yeah just dont get in my way and don't talk to me" he said dumping his backpack contents out all over the bed closest to the door.
