I wake up to find myself laying on the ground in the middle of a forest. I sit up, wondering how I had gotten here. I stand up and walk forward, not really knowing which direction to go. I look up to the sky to find the sun setting. I hear the whispering of the leaves, on the trees that sway at the winds command. I come to a stop when I hear a faint 'Elizabeth' floating in the wind. The voice seems familiar, but I wasn't totally sure. It was in that moment that I realized that the voice belongs to my father.
"Daddy, daddy where are you?" I call out, my voice trembling. I run in the direction I thought I heard his voice coming from.
"Elizabeth!" I hear again and I start to run even faster, as fast as I could. I emerge through the trees to find myself standing in a clearing. It was more of a meadow of wild flowers. At the other side of the vast meadow is my father, looking the same as the last time I had seen him. He now stands there holding a gun to his head. I'm paralized by my fear, I stand there not knowing what to do.
"I love you, baby." I hear before he pulls the trigger. I jump into action at the sound, I run towards him. When I arrive, I find my mother crouched over his body. She was cradling his head in her lap, crying. When I stopped next to her she looked up at me, hatred filling her chocolate, brown eyes.
"Its all your fault!", she screams at me. As she starts to stand she grabs the gun from my father's hand. "Its all your fault", she repeats, this time whispering. As she raises her had I quickly turn and run. She pulls the trigger, and the bullet burrows its way into my upper, right arm. The pain is so intense that black spots immediatly start to appear in my vision. I keep running, wanting to put as much distance as possible between us.
I break though the tree line once again. Though this time I come face to face with a wolf. This was no ordinary wolf. And I knew this because it is much larger than a normal wolf, it held an aura of power making me nervous. But it had the most interesting eyes. They were an ice, blue with a mixture of grey. The wolf also had shiny, black, soft looking fur. Even though this wolf was making me nervous, it had an air of familiarity.
Going with my gut, I raised my had towards the wolf's muzzle. The wolf then ripped out a low, growl from deep within its throat. I quickly pull my hand away and stared at the wolf. The wolf continued to growl at me,and crouched down. It looked as if it were getting ready to pounce on me, with that I turn and run like a bat out of hell. I run towards my left. I heard the wolf chasing me, its large paws pounding on the ground. I could feel its breath on my back. Picking up my speed, I hear the blood rushing through my ears and my chest begin to tighten from the lack of oxygen. I trip over a log, turning over onto my back I see the wolf now walking towards me. The crouched down, and just as it jumped, ready to tear into my pale flesh, I wake up.
&&&&Meadow of wild flowers, to the top or side.
