I woke up the next day still dazed from what happened I looked over at the clock 8:00am it read, I laid there trying to get it round my head. why did they lie to me for this long?
Just then loud footsteps began running up the stairs, I knew who it was an why they were coming up with such speed, I hid under the covers pretending to sleep, I couldn't stand being near him at this time I know it wasn't entirely his fault but I was still angry. The only one from my so called family that I actually trusted, had a proper connection with... And now I didn't care about any of it.
"Wake up!" James shouted through my locked door, silence, "come on it's your birthday" he sighed.
I shoved my face in the pillow beside me. And I heard nothing else.
It was now about 11:00am and I finally dragged myself out of bed, and slowly trudged downstairs, but only because I was hungry.
All I got was a small smile from James (it's obvious he could tell I was ignoring him earlier this morning) and a quiet happy birthday from mum but nothing from dad. It was too awkward to stay downstairs so I grabbed an orange then ran back up.
Soon grabbing a cd I played my music out loud, when then i noticed Connor was phoning me I answered,
"Hey" I mumbled. "You got any plans for today?" He enquired. I thought about it "nope" I replied "good meet me at mine for 6:00 and dress nicely" he soon commanded and put the phone down not giving any time to reply back, I didn't know what he had planned but it must be exciting I concluded in my thoughts.
I had spent the next six hours gradually getting ready for whatever Connor had planned. Still having no clue what it was I said goodbye and left for the short walk to his house
"Your finally here!" He exclaimed "now get in the car and put on this blindfold" he giggled passing me a piece of coloured fabric to put over my eyes, i did as he said.
After the what felt like hours 10 minute car journey consisting of me asking where it was we were going and by I couldn't see we came to a stop. Connor began dragging me inside and whipped of my blindfold,
"Surprise!"
