We arrived at school, which always went pretty fast for me I was one of those students who could sit listening to music all day yet still get good grades I was pretty lucky that way.
On the other hand lunch seemed to go on for hours. I sat at a table with Eli and Demetri which meant I was pretty much bound to be made fun of, not like there's anything wrong with my friends but they're kinda geeky which is fine cause I am too.
We sat down and the moment my ass hit the chair Demetri starting yapping about star war I think before a brown haired boy with braces walked up to our table "hey can I sit here" he said with his head down "I don't know can you" I smiled "y'know what it's fine I'll go somewhere else sorry" he started to walk away "oh come back ya wimp sit" I pointed at the chair beside me.
"So what's your name" Demetri said pushing around his peas with his plastic fork "oh uh Miguel" the boy stumbled "cool hey Miguel this is Eli and y/n and I'm Demetri" Eli looked up for a moment and smiled before bowing his head again, Miguel reaches out to shake my hand but I smack it away "ignore her it must be that time of the month" Demetri says shielding his head already knowing what's coming but I smack him anyways "it's not that time of the month tree man I'm just having some fun" I laugh.
A few giggles and snickers came from a table across the room, Miguel turned around "what are they laughing at" he said looking at the rich bitch table "us" I say simply "why tho?" He looked back at me "are you fucking serious" I laughed and he just looked at me blankly "okay well it's probably because I look like that living dead girl rob zombie was talking about and demetri is the nerdiest nerd you'll ever meet and well I guess they just don't like Eli" I didn't want to say anything about Eli's lip cause I know he doesn't like when we talk about it.
"You mean they don't like my lip y/n it's fine you can say it" Eli speaks up for the first time but I just nodded and took a sip of my coke "so Miguel where do you live? I've got some new neighbours that moved a couple down from me maybe it's you?" I asked "oh uh reseda" he said kind of embarrassed "don't be embarrassed I'm from reseda too it's all cool we can show you around later if you want" I said trying to sound comforting "I'd like that" the brown haired boy said before the bell rang and we all said our goodbyes.
The rest of the day went pretty fast but I had gym with demetri which was pretty funny seeing him cower in the corner while we played basketball.
Soon enough the school day was over and me and demetri walked over to Eli who to my surprise had Miguel beside him and they were talking away like they had been friends for years "hey guys, Miguel you still up for that tour?" "Yeah of corse let me just tell my mom" he grinned before walking away to call his mom.
He finished on the phone and we walked out of the school all together "hey we gotta pick up my brother but I think there's some cool stuff on the way there" I say pulling out another coke from my bag "oh it's no problem" Miguel smiled again.
There wasn't very much to show on the way to the elementary school except for a few parks a statue and some bags of dog shit on the ground.
We reached the school and I saw all the kids flooding out of the door running to their parents, Jayden stayed at the door before seeing me and running over "hey y/n can I hang out with Alana tonight please y/n" he says giving me a hug "does Alana's mom know?" I ask "yeah she's over here you can ask her" he grabs my hand and pulls me to a pretty new looking mini van "hi you must be Jayden's mom" the lady reached her hand out from the drivers seat "no uh sister do you mind if he comes over for a little he seems very excited" I reach my hand into the car and shake hers.
"Oh no I don't mind at all Alana's very excited too" the lady smiled and I smiled back befor looking back at Jayden "okay do you have your phone?" our grandma had given us them for safety and to keep in touch, they weren't anything special just flip phones and you couldn't even text on them just call "yeah I got it" he pulled it out of his pocket "okay call grandma when you wanna go home she'll pick you up okay" he nodded and I gave him a kiss on the forehead before he climbed into the van "have fun buddy" I waved as the van dove off.
I walked back to the boys who were just standing there watching "okay on with the tour".
