. . .
Emptiness and confusion were things a certain devil felt when he realized that he was in an unknown location. It's not every day that he loses consciousness and wakes up in the middle of a large, gray basement where anything could happen at any time. He would assume that he was sleepwalking, but that would not make any sense. He was at the welcoming party at school...so how the hel-
"I see that you're awake, at last."
Acting solely on his instincts, he activated his Fire Fly, his eyes rapidly searching for the one that brought him here. Out of one of the dim walls, appeared an eternal who wasn't a devil nor angel. She had blue hair and her eyes were the same color as his chromatic essence. When she noticed that he saw her, she froze in place where she stood.
Blu was ordered to bring a devil attending Golden School, by the name of Sulfus, to these headquarters. They never told her how or why. If she were to question their motives, they would threaten her and affirm that she will never save her people again. She was willing to do whatever it takes to save her kind, even if it meant bringing a handsome devil to what is potentially his doom.
That said devil glared at her, demanding to be freed but she couldn't do that, not until the people she worked for order her to. Caged, Sulfus activated his Fire Fly from his hands and tried to melt the bars that held him.
"Who are you and why am I here?!" He shouted at her as he attempted to melt the bars a second time.
The non-angel, non-devil eternal flew to stand in front of him, her figure clearly visible. She shook her head in disapproval as she pointed towards something elevated from the devil's view. Seeing no other choice, he followed where her finger pointed and his eyes widen at the terrestrial that was entrapped inside a glass covering.
"I suggest you keep your powers to a minimum unless you want the mother of the angel, you love so dearly, to be burnt to ash." A dominating voice echoed across the walls that surrounded the devil in captivity.
The mention of Raf, let alone her mother, was enough to lessen Sulfus' defensive stance. Two figures emerged from the darkness, both dressed in armor similar to what a devil and an angel would wear during a war. Confused and enraged, the young devil's fury was targeted at them.
"What have you done to Raf's mother?!" It was a question he couldn't hold back, not even for his own safety.
"So, you do know her?" The one in angelic armor responded.
"We'll get straight to the point, Sulfus. Don't think we went through all of this just to hold you captive. We want information about Raf."
Sulfus rolled his eyes. As if he's going to fall for this. He had already hung out with a bunch of his kind to recognize this sort of tactic.
"Even if I do know her, I will never tell you anything! Threaten my life for all that's worth. You can leave me dead and I'll be satisfied knowing that you never got the information you were looking for!"
The two of them staggered back, not by surprise, but by the devil's response to their current objective. Turning up the heat, literally, the right hand to the devil in diabolic armor, engulfed itself in blue flames, the flames menacingly approaching the younger devil.
Yet, Sulfus' still bearing remained unaltered. If there was one thing an average devil knew about how to 'fit in' with the others, is to never be a coward, not even for your own life. Though he rarely refers back to his past, it stood as a harrowing reminder of what he had to go through to gain fear and respect from others.
