To Convince a Counsel

Eventide ran through the forest, bounding over bushes, leaping over rocks. He was driven to reach the Counsel Hall. The elders would have to know of his visions, regardless of the consequences from him blending realms. Bean flew past him, darting side to side and through a bush.

"Oh you're fast!"
"I have to get to the elders. They have to know what I've seen. Surely they will want to help!"

"Time moves slower here, silly. Why the rush?"
Eventide jumped over a downed tree and briefly paused at a fork in the trail.

"It's left. You are all out of sorts, Even." Bean said as she hovered in front of his face.

"Just because time moves slower here, doesn't mean we shouldn't rush. You know the elders are stubborn." Eventide said breathlessly. He wasn't quite sure how he was going to convince the counsel. They still harbored so much anger for the realm of Vale. A thousand years worth.

"You know they'll probably just dismiss you with a wave of their ugly gnarled hands and then you'll be exiled for blending realms."

Bean flew in circles around his head as he ran. She was such a curious creature. The only Woodland Fairy he had ever known to speak, let alone form full thoughts and connect with anyone.

"Bean, I need positive thoughts. If Shathari isn't contained, this realm falls too. We are all connected."

"All connected through Cor. She's my mom!"
Eventide stopped mid stride, "You really surprise me with the things you say sometimes."

Bean did a loop in the air and then landed on Eventide's staff. She sat with her legs dangling off of the tip. She was so curious, her actions and words.
"Well, it's true. I think we are all a piece of Cor. Like leaves from the same tree."

Eventide reached up and placed her in his palm. "After we reach the Counsel Hall, I want to know more about you Bean."

She smiled at him. So tiny and beautiful.
"I'm a woodland fairy. I like long breezes and delicious berries!"

Eventide couldn't help but laugh. He didn't have time for this banter though. He needed to meet with the counsel. He gently set her on his shoulder and began running through the forests again.

Finally, just down the ground moss covered hill, Eventide saw the Counsel Hall. It almost blended in with the surrounding forest. Made of all things from the earth, it was covered in vines and tree bark. The front door was barely noticeable. Made of entwined vines and flowing red and orange blooms of Morning Fairy flowers, it mixed in so well with everything else.

Eventide paused just outside of the door. He took a deep breath to steady his nerves.

No matter what happens. You've done your part to try to save the realms. Even if it means being cast out for blending realms.

He closed his eyes. This was such a huge moment in his life. He had always been an outsider. When it was discovered he had the gift of seeing between realms and glimpsing the future, he was from that moment forward, something no one trusted. His father of the Vale realm, his mother of this. Part centurian, just like his mother. Just like most everyone in the realm of Nature. Never mind that, today was the day he stood out above any other time. He had seen the end, the coming of it like an errant lightning strike in the summer. Fast. Deadly. The Elders would listen to him and they would know there was only one choice. Send him with the Orb of Life to find the Crowcaw tribe and the great wizard Skritch-Skratch.

Eventide felt the slightest of breath on the tip of his nose. He opened his eyes slowly.

"I thought you might have fell asleep. Like maybe I'm contagious sometimes?" Bean hovered in front of his face. She was laying on her belly with her feet crossed and bent at the knee, her hands propping her chin.
