Questionable Escape ~ Young Marauders x reader

You had just painted the whole corridor a bright pink, redesigned the layout and positioning of all the paintings, and locked Filch in his office that was now basically a swamp. You were running to escape before Filch got out and found yourself at the broken staircase, with the marauders watching you from below. "I'm gonna jump!" You yelled down to the marauders as people gathered around, "Y/N don't jump, you're gonna break yourself!" Remus yelled up at her. "I have to, it's the only way!" She yelled back down, "I'm going to jump!" She said again, "Do a flip!" Sirius yelled up at her. "Sirius!" Remus yelled turning to him, "He's right Sirius" James started, "You should have told her to do a cartwheel off the stairs and then a flip" he finished, "Ohh yeah" Sirius said. "R-Remus I-I know you're really good at this spell and I don't want to question you but are you sure you can catch her?" Peter asked earning a dirty look from Remus, "Yes Peter, I can catch her" he said through gritted teeth, "Okay, Y/N, jump whenever you're ready" Remus called up to her. "Okay, here I come," you started, backing up and beginning to run towards the edge, "GERONIMO!" You screamed jumping/flipping (as requested) off the edge of the stairs. About 2/3 of the way down to the marauders you felt something catch you, the levitating spell that Remus was casting. "I'm okay!" You said throwing your arms in the air, and everyone below you cheered. "Y/N!" James and Sirius said tackling you as Remus settled you onto the ground, "That was the best stunt any of us have pulled all year, but just one question" James said, "What?" You asked. "You couldn't have planned an alternate escape route? You knew that staircase wasn't working properly" Sirius asked, answering for James, "Oh no, I could have, and I did for back up, I just wanted to see if Remus would to it" you said smiling like an idiot, James and Sirius bursting out laughing while Remus gave you a disapproving glare. "Okay, there's just one more thing" James said getting serious, "Why didn't you do a cartwheel?" James asked, cracking a smile, causing you to roll your eyes and the boys to laugh.
