I changed the ending to last chapter a bit. Literally only the last two paragraphs.

"Are we really considering this?" Ryann's voice came out a little above a whisper as she practically glared at her boys sire. The mans too big nose and large frame glasses aging as one would have assumed alongside his khaki vest.

Her mother looked no better, clinging to his arm like the trophy Ryann knew she always wanted to be. Her once cropped hair had grown some, the locks now dusting her chin in a relatively unflattering cut that only seemed to swallow her face. Lucy's murky blue eyes locked unwaveringly on Ryann. She knew Lucy wanted her little girl back but Ryann wasn't the little six year old girl playing in the back yard anymore. No, by the time Ryann had come to Santa Carla she'd not been that girl for a very long time. Their relationship had by that point dissolved into anger and hatred. Vampirism and the eternity it offered hadn't changed that.

"An army of disco-dick vampires?" She glanced down at the boy in her arms before continuing her rant. "What do we have to gain? It's not like this is some debt or something you need to repay! This chick gets knocked up by a sparkly vampire and it's suddenly our problem? Fuck that! What about Laddie! I think his decreased aging is of more concern than some bimbo who fucked a vampire! In twenty years he's barely grown, Max! How long can he stay a half before the hunger pangs can no longer be sated by vampire blood?" She was struggling to keep her voice a whisper. Her fingers running through Laddies hair in an attempt to calm herself. "Not only that, but how the hell are we going to get there? We burn in the sun remember?"

"I am head of this coven, Ryann. You will do as I-"

"You get a say when you pull your head out of my mother's vagina." She cut Max off before he could continue, her gaze fixated on David. Her mate looking relaxed in his wheelchair besides his sire grimaced at her challenge. "I also wasn't just talking to you."

"I have to agree. Laddie should be our concern, not some cold-one hybrid thing." Dwayne spoke up, each word practically flooding through her as he pulled her closer against his side. She knew his blackened eyes had never once left the freakishly pale doctor who stood on the other side of Max. Seriously his skin may as well been paper with how fucking white his complexion was. Though his eyes needed to get the fuck off her son. She didn't like the way he was looking at him like some kind of scientific mystery.

"This is not up for debate. You will help him." Max hissed before David could respond, his face flashing and eyes changing as he used his sire bond over the boys. She hissed. She despised the sire bond he had over her boys. He constantly used it to try and change them. She's used the mating bond to undermine Max's sire bond on more than one occasion. "Forks has incredibly dreary and cloudy weather. The sun will not affect you there." Max explained, his arm stretching across her mother's shoulders as he pulled her against his side. "Carlisle has a vehicle capable of transporting you and a place for you to safely sleep in his home."

"So...that's it? We ride at dawn?" Marko questioned, glancing between his mate and sire as if watching a ping-pong match.

"Yes, you four will leave come-"

"You seriously don't expect me to stay behind do you?" He growled at the interruption. "They're my mates Max! We can't be separated! If you force them to go I will too!" She felt Laddie stir in her arms. Her fingers still running through his hair. A soft purr rumbling from the half-vampire as he snuggled into her.

"This is not-" Max was growing visibly more angry.

"We won't leave our mate Max, not with those Frog brothers hanging around." Marko finally chimed in. His voice coming out in a growl as he mentioned the wanna-be vampire hunters.

"Yeah! We ain't leaving her!" Paul chimed in. Parroting Marko as he puffed on a joint at his side.

"This is not up for debate. You boys will leave at sunrise. Ryann you will stay with Lucy and myself until the boys return. Being around pack should help with the mating bond pains." Max used his bond to silence the boys as he spoke. She couldn't help the rumble that ignited in her chest. Her eyes flashing gold in challenge.

"I will not be an experiment. I go with my mates. You don't get a say in this matter." He really didn't. Nightwalkers had certain rules that where universally understood by all their kind. The three most important being don't reveal yourself, clean up your messes, and mates are not to be messed with. A vampires mate, be it a pack mate or not, where rare. Vampires could go thousands of years without meeting their mate. So when they do find their mate, they're incredibly possessive. Once they've marked them the bond between a vampire and their mate, or mates, trumps all others. Even the sire bond couldn't rival the mate bond. Which made it an incredibly powerful and dangerous tool. A vampires greatest prize and weakness all in a delectable little package. Being away from them for a longer period of time causes immense pain and eventually, death. For pack mates it's even worse. Being separated from one mate is hard, but all of them is practically dooming the mate to a slow torturous death.

Ryann had only felt that pain once. Michael had made the mistake of attempting to kill her mates. They nearly succeeded in killing Marko, would have too had they not had the shittiest aim ever. Though she thought they'd succeeded. Michael had taken her back home and locked her in a closet with Laddie. The pain was like nothing she'd ever felt in her entire life. It was like lava in her veins and boiling her insides. She cringed at the memory, feeling Dwaynes arm tighten around her waist. "This is between me and my mates. We will go with this Carlisle. Laddie, the boys, and myself."

  "I-"

"Michael and Sam can make a few appearances on the boardwalk. Scare off any nomads." David finally spoke, his steely gaze flashing momentarily to hers before settling on Max's seething form. The head vampire looked ready to snap. Ryann would have grinned in any other situation.

"Max," Ryann's eyes practically rolled out of her skull at her mother's weak, pathetic voice. You'd think vampirism would've made her stronger, more independent. Wrong. Her mother had become nothing more than a weak, submissive, trophy-wife. "Let them go." Ryann froze, her eyes trailing to the blonde. "You know what happened last time. We don't want a repeat my dear."

Max and Lucy stared into each other's eyes. Both holding their ground until Max finally sighed. "Fine. You win."
