(The night after the party, Draco's pov)
After last night when I healed y/n...something came over me.
I can't kill her, I couldn't watch her suffer like I thought. When I seen him grabbing her and hurting her...there's no way I could let that happen again...but why?
My alarm went off and brought me out of my thoughts.
Everyone would be at hogsmeade today..I never went, I didn't see the point. I usually stayed because it was quiet and peaceful here.
I walked down to the common room to greet my friends before they left for the day
"Are you sure you don't want to come?" Blaise asked
"Yeah, I'm exhausted from last night anyway..bring me back some butter beer" i winked
"Will do" Pansy laughed while putting her coat on
"We'll be back tonight, take care of yourself today draco" she chuckled and kissed my cheek
"Be safe" I said before they walked out
I went downstairs to grab something to eat.
"Mr malfoy?"
I turned to see snape walking behind me
"You're not going with the rest of the students to hogsmeade?" He asked
"It's not really my thing" I replied
"Well I've been meaning to talk to you anyway..follow me" he turned on his heel and began to walk
We walked down the hall a little ways before he turned into his office and shut the door
"Mr. Malfoy...I'm aware of you're recent Intrest in y/n Jones..."
"We've been over this...she's my task I have to-"
"you're recent feelings for her i should've said" he interrupted
"Feelings?" I scoffed
He leaned against his desk and thought for a moment
"I told you to treat her kindly...do you remember?"
I nodded
"I need you to swear on it" he stood from the desk and walked towards me
"I thought the whole mission was to capture her and eventually kill her?" I asked
He hesitated
"I know you're feeling for her has changed...I'm not asking you to befriend her...I'm asking you to part ways with her and we will both tell the dark lord that you simply can't get her to give up any answers" he sighed
"I'm confused sir"
"I don't expect you to understand right now draco...just swear to it"
