The family sat in quietness, staring at the envelope that laid on the table.

To open or not to open is the question..

" 𝑌/𝑁, 𝐸𝑣𝑒𝑛 𝑖𝑓 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑑𝑜𝑛'𝑡 𝑔𝑒𝑡 𝑖𝑛, 𝑊𝑒 𝑘𝑛𝑜𝑤 𝑦𝑜𝑢'𝑣𝑒 𝑡𝑟𝑖𝑒𝑑 𝑠𝑜 𝑎𝑟𝑑 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑤𝑒 𝑎𝑟𝑒 𝑡𝑟𝑢𝑙𝑙𝑦 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑢𝑑 𝑜𝑓 𝑦𝑜𝑢"

( 𝘄𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗺𝘆 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗲 😪 )

Your dad broke the silence and handed you the letter from the table. You had anticipated this moment over and over in your head. The day of Judgment, you called it.

Your parents sat at the opposite side of the couch, watching you like a hawk. You gently ripped the seal — the crinkle of the paper loomed in the air.

Your eyes were pressed shut as you pulled out the letter from the envelope. Your parents on the other hand, were practically out of their seat.

You peeked at the letter and oh, there came the waterfall.

Soft sniffles filled the air. Your parents glanced at each other as they stood up and came to comfort you.

"𝐼𝑡'𝑠 𝑎𝑙𝑟𝑖𝑔ℎ𝑡, 𝑌/𝑛-"

"𝐼 𝑚𝑎𝑑𝑒 𝑖𝑡!"

"𝑇ℎ𝑒𝑟𝑒'𝑠 𝑎𝑙𝑤𝑎𝑦𝑠 𝑎 𝑛𝑒𝑥𝑡 𝑡𝑖𝑚𝑒, 𝑆𝑢𝑔-"

It took a while for your words to set in. But when they did, your parents were struck. They ran to your side and grabbed the letter out of your hands. Your tight grasp on it had left creases.

Staring at the piece of paper like little kids would stare at Christmas gifts.

They looked up at you. Eyes wet and a big smile on their faces.

"𝐻𝐸𝐿𝐿 𝑌𝐸𝐴𝐻, 𝑆𝐻𝐸 𝐷𝐼𝐷 𝐼𝑇"

"𝑂𝑈𝑅 𝐷𝐴𝑈𝐺𝐻𝑇𝐸𝑅 𝐷𝐼𝐷 𝑇𝐻𝐴𝑇"

And with that, you were swiftly wrapped in their arms. You could hear small sniffles from your dad. Your mom let go of you and looked at your face, brushing your hair away and kissing your forehead.

The moment was brought to an end as both of your parents rushed to their phones, calling relatives left and right. The news would spread like wildfire, passing from relative to relative that you had gotten into The UA Academy.

A sense of proudness washed over you.
