"So, what? So, this is it? This is really the end of the team?" Gar asked, as all of them walked out of the safe-house.
"Technically, we were never really a team--" Dick began, and Sienna was a blur in the distant sky, flying around a few buildings quickly.
"Oh, we were a team." Kory cut Dick off mid-sentence and Kiara choked on her coffee at the implications, and Gar smacked her between the shoulders.
"I'm gonna go load up the van for the trip, before I puke." She says and then she was nearly tackled by Rachel who crushed her in a tight hug. "Oof, kiddo I'll see you again. I promise, all right?"
Rachel looked like she was trying not to cry, which broke Kiara's heart, and her eyes also sparkled with tears. "I'm human too, Garfield." She said, as he'd be whispering, to Kory and Angela, all about it. "Come on, Boy Wonder. Let's go." She called over her shoulder, and Rachel had crushed him in a huge hug before they were driving off, as their teams went in the other direction.
"Twenty..." Dick was saying and they both walk down the streets, with very quiet Sienna and Kadar, walking next to them. Dick knocked and Donna was opening the door, looking surprised to see Sienna and Kiara even more, then she was shocked to see Dick.
"I quit." Dick said and Donna paused for a second, before she was smiling a bit at his words.
"I moved on." Kiara said quietly and Donna smiled at her words before she pulled Kiara into a tight hug. "Ow, jeez Donna! Still only human here." She'd gasp and Donna, she lets her go. "I'm the Gray Wolf, now. The Silver is long dead." She said quietly, as Donna was smiling brightly.
"I'm the Archangel now. But... I'm currently training the new Sparrow. I found my lost little sister, who just so happened to be working under Gray Wolf, here." Sienna quietly murmured and nudged Kiara, whose fist punched her in the ribs. "Ow." She whispered.
"Great to see you guys, too." Donna grabbed Dick's bag and tossed it into the apartment, before doing the same to Kiara's three and Sienna's two, and she shut the door behind her. "But I'm late." She briskly stated, as she started to walk down the street, to their utter confusion. "You coming or not?" She'd shout over her shoulder.
The three of them raced to catch up with her, with Kiara catching up first and Sienna second, with Dick being a bit dragged along by both of them. "I thought that you already quit being a sidekick to Batman." Donna points out and Dick scoffed quietly.
"Not Batman, this time. Robin." Dick admitted quietly and Donna looked at him as they walked, which in their big group, didn't bother them at all. After many years, it just didn't anymore.
"Okay. What happened?" Donna played the role of innocent counselor quite well, which was unsurprising to them, considering of course, who her superhero mentor had been.
"I couldn't get a handle on the violence. It was getting worse. At which point, I called up Kiara, who had just faked 'the Silver's death. I figured that she could help, since she had quit for awhile, until making her own mini-team." Dick said and Kiara's nod was clear, as Donna looked a little surprised.
"It's hard to imagine." Donna murmured, and Dick inclined his head in a small nod of agreement with her, as Donna moved her arm to rest on Kiara's shoulder, since she had been looking around corners, like she was a little street kid again.
"I know. I went cold turkey. Burned the suit." Dick mumbled and Donna's eyes widened, before she laughs a bit in surprise.
"Wow. That's dramatic. Mine's in the closet. Those things are expensive for everybody." Donna said briskly and a sigh came from Kiara, as Donna looks over at her. "You, too? You burned the 'Silver' suit?" She asked and Kiara was quietly nodding.
"It was different for me, though. If I had kept the suit and 'the Silver' was supposed to be dead... they could have figured out my identity. Then... I could have got arrested and lost everythin'. I couldn't risk it." She mumbles and she saw Donna nod.
"Your suit, I understand." She said and looked at them, after they had all petitioned to sleep on her couch and a floor. "They've all got your names on them. Stay as long as you three need... as long as you still got game." She said and managed to front-flip over a huge ass semi-truck parked in an alleyway.
They all chuckled quietly and looked at each other, before, looking back to the truck.
"Fuck me."
"Fuck me."
"Fuck me."
"Fuck us."
Even Kadar jumped in and Donna laughed from the other side. "I'm still waiting." She called out and Sienna's eyes were glinting with mischief.
"After you, ladies first." Dick insisted and Sienna rolled her eyes, as she was boltin' forward and her wings flashed out, as she soared over the truck.
"Show-off." Kiara muttered as Dick's eyebrows raised up a little, and she'd smirk. "Race you over?"
"Ten bucks says that I win." Dick muttered and Kiara laughed at his words.
"Boy Wonder? More like Bullshit Wonder, you wish." At that, they both took off like rockets towards the semi.
Kiara threw herself straight up towards the fire escape and kicked off of it, rollin' to slow her descent and as usual, came up in a crouch.
Unfortunately for the two of them that were racing... they tied. Again.
"Oh, I have missed you all. You guys want to come along, hang out with a bunch of some simply fabulous, and, normal people?" Donna suggested, as they all looked at each other.
"Yeah." Sienna said and she hopped down onto the ground again, from a fire escape higher up.
