"You're really going to make us mingle? Us?" Sienna asked of Donna as quietly as she could, while her eyes flashed between brown and black. "In this... I can't concentrate. I need to go, Donna, I'm sorry." Donna hugged her in understanding as Sienna bolted for the door.
"Is it too late for us both, to go running out after her?" Kiara asked quietly, sticking next to Dick like glue and he chuckled a little bit.
"Yeah, I think it might be." He murmured back and Kiara nudged him in the stomach, pointing toward the corner. "Food?" He asked and she smiled a little.
"Food." She agreed and they both managed to get to the food tables with no questions being asked of them, any or all, whether about art or not.
After freaking out a couple of people by mistake, Dick walked back over to where Kiara, she had eaten through a lot of the food on her own. "I wonder, what the Penguin's doin' right now." A quiet laugh came from Kiara at that as she sighed.
"You're that bored?" She questioned quietly and he laughed a little, as she handed him a plate of half-eaten food, as she went back for more.
"You're so weird." Dick mumbled to her, as she began to pile more stuff up and he handed the plate back to her a bit of a smile on his face. "But, then again I'm not the most normal of guys either." He said under his breath.
"That is very much an understatement of things about yourself, Dick Grayson." She muttered, through a mouthful of fancy party food, and he laughed a little bit.
"You guys meet any new friends? Or learn anything?" Donna asked, as she looks at Kiara's plate, which had been piled up a moment before, but now all of it was in Kiara's mouth and it made her look, like a very guilty chipmunk.
"Well, I've had about a hundred of these bacon-wrapped dates. And if you please, I have no idea when the hell Kiara hit the food table, so do not ask me how many she ate." Dick said, as Donna smirked a little bit.
"Great. Look, I just got a text. It's a work thing. Someone I need to go and meet right now." Donna quickly puts her phone back in her purse, which is never a good sign with her.
"So, we're leaving?" Dick sounded naturally excited by nature and so did Kiara, once she had swallowed every one of those bacon-wrapped dates in her mouth.
"Me, leaving. You two goofballs, having fun. Seriously, Dick, Kiara, just try to relax a little." Donna chuckled a bit and Kiara looks around at the huge crowd.
"I hate this. It's like those stupid cocktail parties that Moira and Robert used to hold." She mumbled a little, as Dick sighed at her.
"Yeah, Bruce used to hold those too. I always hid in..."
"The Batcave, I remember. I used to convince my brother to let me use his bodyguard's car, just to drive me all of the way to Gotham City, when I wasn't in a state of denial and shoved into an extremely poofy dress, Grayson, of course" Kiara muttered and at that, Dick just laughed.
"We're leaving. Let's go." He said quietly, as soon as Donna was out and walking down the street away from at least, their position.
"Thank god." She mumbled and set down the empty plate, and she raced after him real quickly.
Dick and Kiara were watching from the van, while Sienna was circling all of their position.
Dick and Kiara leapt out of nowhere and Dick sent Graham crashing hard into the ground face-first.
Sienna had managed in her own unique fashion, to knock most of the other men unconscious.
Donna had managed to cut off Graham, and was yelling at Dick and Kiara now.
"Just for the record... I was supposed to be watching the car, but... Dick now apparently drags me everywhere on a whim." Kiara mumbled quietly, as she lowered her head in shame slightly.
"I don't blame you." Donna said to Kiara with a sigh, as Kiara went back to the car and Sienna, she drops down from the rafters.
They were back at Donna's place and Dick was snorting a little now at their familiar pattern of speaking. "Why do you have to be right, all the time?" He asked.
"Older, smarter, prettier. You know the drill by now." Donna said with a smile, as Kiara chuckled a bit and she smirked legitimately.
"All right. Now, let me have your phone. I can use those photos of me and Crocodile Dundee knocked out to prove, that I wasn't in the shitshow that you two former Bat-sidekicks just put on back there." Donna said, with a emphasis on 'Bat-sidekicks', since Kiara had been rather dragged along for the ride.
Dick pulled out his phone quick and after he opened it, he pretended and took back his phone, before he gave it to her. "Really?" Donna asked, as Dick was actually smiling now.
"What?" Dick asked, once they had figured out that something was up in the look on Donna's face.
"Why do you have pictures of letters in some offshoot of Sumerian on your cellphone?" Donna asks, showing it to Dick and Kiara, as Sienna had showed up as well to look.
"That's not Sumerian. We searched every database." Dick insisted, as she stopped him with a look.
"I said 'offshoot.' This alphabet has been lost for centuries. We learned a little bit of it on Themyscira." Donna said and Dick looked at Kiara. "I have some books." She said quietly at their looks of surprise, and worry as well as some sort of confusion.
They were on the road and Dick was lookin' panicked at the revelation that Kory was there to kill Rachel.
Sienna fell from the sky with an agonizing cry at the sudden agony in her skull, and Dick, he swerved quick to avoid hitting her.
