Chapter 2
Do We Have A Deal?
╭────»»・:*:・゚★««────╮

After a few days, I was able to go home from the hospital. This first thing I did when I got home was go straight out back to my backyard, which was a great place to train. We had a huge backyard, and if I was careful, my quirk wouldn’t reach anyone.

However, I wasn’t here to train my quirk, but my defense and physical skills. My quirk only works on humans, so it’s a little useless in fighting with a machine or someone without lungs or nostrils, or, if they know about the quirk, having their nose and mouth covered with a mask. If I wanted to pass the U.A. entrance exam, I need to be able to attack without my quirk and defend myself..

It had been around an hour and I was still fighting the practice dummies. Mom had come home to check on me and ended up helping me out by bringing out the robotic dummies. Basically, they’re practice dummies, like for fighting, but they’re robots, meaning instead of just standing there, they’ll fight back.

I started panting a bit, as I wasn’t really used to fighting with just my fists. I wanted to use my katana, since I was pretty skilled with it, but I decided that wouldn’t be practical, especially if I’m going to be up against something metal.

I let my guard down slightly to catch my breath and ended up getting a pretty bad punch to the face. I felt something dripping down my face, and when I wiped it, I saw my hand stained a deep red. The pain from the punch slowly started to sink in as I realized what had happened.

Letting my instincts take over, I leapt towards the robot, tackling the hard metal dummy to the ground. I reached around the back of it and switched it off, feeling the dummy ‘relax’ under my weight. I stood up, wiping the dripping blood from my face again and ran inside to make sure I was okay. After bandaging a pretty nasty punch, I went back outside to retrieve the robot, only to find it wasn’t there anymore.

“Shit.. Mom’s going to kill me..”

I mumbled under my breath. Those robots were expensive and we only used them when we needed to train for something important (in my case, the U.A. entrance exam). I looked around, trying to see if maybe someone snuck into the backyard and dragged it away, but whoever or whatever had taken the robot left no tracks of where it went.

I continued to look however, as I knew Mom was going to give me hell when she got back for losing the dummy. After about 30 minutes of searching, I was about to give up when I heard some faint crackling noises in the distance. I turned towards the sound, instantly raising my hand to defend myself with my quirk. However, when I walked over to the bushes where I heard the noise, nothing was there. I decided I must be hallucinating from all the training and was about to head inside when a hand reached out and grabbed me.

The person who grabbed me held one hand over my mouth to quiet me and the other around my waist, keeping me from running away.

“Shh.. don’t struggle.. I won’t hurt you if you let me say one thing..”

I was about to bite the hand of the person holding me, but decided against it. I tried to relax slightly to let this mysterious person know I was letting them speak.

“Good.. Y/N, I’m going to help you out.. You have strong powers, I can feel it. Your mood aura may be your main quirk, but I can feel you have another. I can give it a push to come out, but you can’t tell anyone about it. If people ask about it, simply answer that it was a part of your quirk that you never used.. Never mention me.. Ever.. I’ll deal with your mother knowing about this, but do we have a deal?”

I let those words sink into me.. Another quirk..? That was amazing-! But scary at the same time.. I barely had control of my mood aura, as there was still so much more I know I could do with it. However, having another quirk, perhaps one for defense or for attack, would be very helpful. I was about to nod gently to let the person bring my quirk up when reality hit me.

What was I thinking?! I was being held by a stranger, telling me I had another quirk inside of me. That sounded as far-fetched as it can get. Everyone only had one quirk, only one. Meaning I’m either some fancy, miracle, one-in-a-lifetime child or I was about to receive a stolen quirk. The figure tightened their grip on me, pressing down where the robot had punched me, drawing some blood and making me wince.

“Do we have a deal, Y/N?”
