1 week laterIt was 6:30, the light streaming in from the windows caused her to squint as she waited for Josh to finish in the bathroom. He was leaving for 6 months for a movie he was directing, So they, more him then her decided it was best to have a break whilst he was away, to reduce the pressure of their personal lives and both of their careers.
"Heyy." He said softly "I didn't want to wake you." He said coming out the bathroom.
"It's okay, I wanted to say goodbye." She sat up as he walked over. "I'm going to miss you so much." she said placing her hand on his cheek.
"I'll miss you too, I'll see you when I can promise and I'll still call." He said and placed a kiss lightly on her lips.
"Is everything downstairs? How long till you go?"
"I'm just waiting for the car." He says and brush a strand of my hair away from my face.
"Okay, wait let me go down with you." She swung her legs out of the bed and adjusted her Tshirt as she stood up.
She gave him one last final kiss and watched him leave, giving him one last wave goodbye before he was gone and who knows if it'd be the same if he came back.
She peered over at the clock it was only 6:45 the sun was still low, so she decided to have a quick shower before deciding to go for a walk down the familiar path into town, it was so unlikely she would see anyone so early, so she did what she planned and headed out.
When she got into the town she saw a few elderly familiar faces who gave her a warm smile, everyone was closed it was still early but when she saw Robs grocery store, she remembered and decided to take him up on the offer.
She knocked on the door of the store and waited, she knew he lived upstairs from it, surely he'd be able to hear but no, she made her way around the back and saw some little buttons to press and pressed them both and waited a few seconds.
"Hello?" Came his voice out of the little speaker underneath.
"It's meeee." she said chirpy.
"I didn't even know you were alive, this early in the morning."
"Oh well, good morning to you too."
"I'll be down in a sec."
"Okayy." she sing songed.
He threw on a shirt and made his way down, why was she here this early? She had never even been to his apartment, why would she even be here?
He opened the front door to his shop, where she was waiting and she smiled at him.
"Good morning."
"Good morning." She says and sneakes through under his arm that he leant on, on the door frame.
"What are you doing here at this time, I ain't open for business, and you're not getting anything till its open like everyone else." He points out.
"Well long story but I went for a walk and then got hungry and thought you owe me a coffee."
"Oh yeah?"
"Hmmh." She smiled cheekily
"Sorry to break it to you, but erm everywhere is closed."
She dropped her shoulders. "So there isn't a coffee machine upstairs no?"
"Yes there is but." He smiles
"But what?" she licked her top lip.
"You want to go up to my crappy apartment." He said nervously changing the mood entirely.
