"Are you ready?" He said from the bottom of the stairs.
"I'll just be a second."
"Don't worry, take your time."
She slid her leg into one of the openings of her beige tights, it proved difficult with her hands shaking ever so slightly. She was nervous, not about Rob, God not about Rob, she always felt at ease around him, like she didn't have to put up a front up but she had agreed on a restaurant and that idea made her nervous. She knew how cruel the media could be and how it'd effect his life and now with her nomination, it was going to be heavy on her but she didn't want him to think she was embarrassed of him, she didn't understand how he could think that.
She then slowly stepped into the dress, it was a simple black understated dress but nothing ever looked understated on her. She reached behind her to zip the back of the dress which proved more difficult then she thought, she used the mirror as guidance but failed.
"Robert?" she said raising her voice.
"Yeah?"
"Can you come here for a second?"
His response wasn't verbal but she heard his footsteps on the stairs.
"Yeah?" He said walking into her bedroom.
"Can you zip me up?" She said from her closet.
"Sure." he followed her voice.
He slipped into the closet "You look beautiful."
"It's not even on yet, you can't say that." she said showing him where the zip needed to be done up.
He took the zip from her hands, he took a moment admire the smoothness of her skin, his eyes followed her spine until it met the curve of her ass, where he could just see the top of her tattoo, he guilty returned his eyes back up to her where his eyes met hers in the mirror, and he noticed her grin across her face.
"What are you smiling at?" He continued zipping up her dress.
"I don't know, what were you looking at?" she said tilting her head and licking her lips locking eyes with him.
"Nothing." He said bashfully.
"Mmhh sure."
He pressed her lips lightly on the base of her neck, feeling the warm and the silkiness of her skin.
"Do you need a jacket?" He said crossing his arms over her shoulders and pulling her close to him.
"No." she sighed "if I get cold, I'll steal yours." she smiled at him in the mirror.
He let out a small laugh "I guess I don't mind." He said placing a kiss on her cheek, and she closed her eyes and smiled.
"Let's get going then." He said freeing her from her arms and letting their hands find each other.

Rob placed the car into park, and took his seat belt off and reached for the handle before looking over at Cher who was fumbling with the rings on her finger.
"Do you want my jacket, its cold."
"Er no, I'm fine." Cher said breaking from her trance.
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah." she lightly chuckled "i was just thinking." she said reaching for her door.
"I'll get your door wait." He gave the car park a quick look over because he knew she was nervous, he didn't quite understand her nervousness, it made him question their relationship, he couldn't help taking his mind to that place, the place where he couldn't help but think that this was something she was ashamed of, she said she didn't want the media to ruin what they had... Maybe he was being naive but he couldn't see the issue.
