Days passed by slowly and painfully. Anticipation and hope peaked at any slight improvement, did more bad than good to the people in and around Artemis.
What felt like a months span, was in reality just the 5th day since the accident.
The nurse walked in, four pairs of eyes following each and every movement of her's.
"How is she?" Carlos asked as the nurse jotted down a few things in her tab.
"The doctor will be here—," the door pushed open as the doctor stepped into the VIP suite.
"Morning." He nodded at the people in the room as he walked towards Artemis.
"How is she?" Nickolai asked this time.
"We've done our best, Mr. Russo." The doctor replied checking Artemis. "Now it's all on her, she'll wake up when she's ready." He turned around before walking out of the room.
"Mi Loba." Carlos whispered beside Artemis's ear before he pecked her head.
The door nudged a little, before it was pushed open completely, giving the view of a badly bruised Giovanni, leaning on the shoulders of Federico and Benito.
"What happened?" Nickolai rushed towards the trio as they placed Giovanni on one of the couches.
"N-nothing Dad." Giovanni slurred from the couch. "I am perfectly fine."
"He got into a fight, with a bunch of street guys in the red area." Rio explained. "He's drunk."
"Thank you for bringing him here Federico." Nickolai thanked the young man.
