Jessi brushed her hand along your forehead with a frown as she felt your feverish skin against her fingertips. You coughed into your elbow and she rubbed your back comfortingly.

"I hate being sick." You mumbled and Jessi nodded understandingly.

"I know. But it's just a cold. Hopefully, it won't be long until you feel better." She said with a small smile. "Now, you took your medicine already. Do you want some soup?"

"Not right now. Can we just cuddle?"

"Sure. We'll turn on some movies too. Sound good?"

"Sounds perfect," you said before coughing into your elbow once more.

Jessi looked sad when you looked back at her. Her eyebrows were pinched together in worry. Though she's tried to stay positive for you while you've been sick the last day or so, she still worries about you.

"You okay?" She asked worriedly, her hand rubbing along your shoulder as you laid back down, but this time with your head on her lap.

"I'm okay. What'd you turn on?"

"Your favorite movie, of course."

You cracked a small smile and closed your eyes as she leaned down to kiss your forehead softly and lingeringly.

You shivered slightly and she didn't hesitate to reach for the blanket and bring it up to your shoulders.

"Warmer?"

"yeah, thanks, Jessi." You mumbled as she tucked you in.

"Anything for you. I just want you to feel better." She said, the last part coming off as more of a whisper. It saddened her to see you so unwell. She could only hope that with her there to take care of you and a little time and rest, you'd start to feel better sooner rather than later.

Comfortable silence hit the air. Neither of you said a word, simply basking in the comfort of her arms and the movie playing. She twirled your hair around her fingers, bringing you even more relaxation.

Soon, you fell asleep, while Jessi watched the movie.

It was only when you snored a little that Jessi looked at you to find you sound asleep. She chuckled, finding the sight unbelievably adorable.

"I love you so much," she whispered softly before kissing your head. "Sleep well, cutie. Feel better soon."

She looked back at the tv and stayed perfectly still to let you get some much-needed sleep.
