I woke up with my hands hung over my head once again, this time, however, I sat in a cage. My eyes slowly adjusted to the darkness. I was not sure if I had truly woken up, or if this was another dream. I was too weak to move. My body felt as if it had been burned. I glanced around to see my surroundings. To my surprise, I was not the only one in a cage. Multiple cages with people who were passed out laid around me, along with speakers in each corner of the room. The small light hanging from the ceiling was enough to barley see Logan's outline in the distance.
"You know, you truly are a fighter. And I must admit, I almost lost faith in you. Please forgive me." Logan's voice grew louder as he walked closer to the cage. He smelled like burned flesh. He wore what seemed to be a leather jacket along with long dark pants. His fedora was nowhere to be seen, however. His face looked bruised as if he had just got out of a physical altercation, yet he still had that grin from before.
"I... I really did not expect you to fight as hard as you did. I thought he had told you what your fate was. You see all these bodies in these cages, they are like animals, sleeping animals. But when you wake them, they panic. They start to scream and shout, no no no, please don't hurt me, please let me go, please, I won't do it again, please, give me another chance! I won't tell anyone, but God sees all! Who else needs to know!? And I begged him to do this another way! An easier way, but God... God is always right... You see, he told me they'd fight, he told me what they'd do. And... I did not believe him... but, but he was right! You people love violence, you love destruction, never peace, never comfort! So, this, this will embrace that fire in you, this will fix the sinners who plaque this world!" Logan shouted. His words hit the walls, forcing them to bounce off, creating an echo in the room.
"No, you-you are just another false prophet." I mumbled softy, trying to catch my breath. Logan froze for a second and said nothing, before letting a huge grin appear across his bruised face. He grabbed my cage with both his hands and pulled his face as close as he could.
"I'm sorry... I don't think I ever told you the story of how my mom was taken from me when I was a young boy." Logan whispered as he laughed aloud once again. My body was weak and my hands bled; however, I still managed to find the strength to move a little bit before I spoke.
"Let me guess, you killed your mother by hunting her? You told me already, you damn psychopath. Hmp. You think you got me huh? You really think you've won? But no no no no... I see you for what you truly are now... I see youuu, I see youuu." I mumbled in a silly tone while laughing aloud myself.
"You think you know who I am, what I am? You have no idea! I am more than you could imagine! I have seen more than you could imagine! You think I am a psychopath because I do what needs to be done?! God... I'm sorry... I do not like the way you are looking at me! You think I'm making this up, you think I'd lie to you!? You think I am bullshitting you don't you!? I have never lied, Never! You accuse me of lying to you like I have a reason!? You know, it's okay... It's okay, it's okay, it's okay, because I have a way of dealing with people like you. Oh yes, I do, the non-believers! Logan screamed from the top of his lungs.
He walked over to a cage in front of me, where another man sat, terrified to move. He looked to be the same man from before who was supposed to open the door and let us out if we were to return. He was shirtless this time, staring at me, silently asking for help, but what could I have done? I, like him, was trapped, begging for the mercy from Logan. Logan slowly opened his cage, forcefully pulling him out. He was shaking on the ground. He looked skinny as if he had not eaten in weeks.
"Go on! On your knees! Get on your knees!! You get on your knees and you pray to God! Pray that he numbs your soul so that you won't feel pain it takes to remove your sins!! Pray to God now!" Logan demanded. The man struggled to move; his body was too weak.
