Drake's P.O.V.
As I lounge on my bed in the giant castle, getting weaker by the second I wonder how I got myself into this mess, along with three others that I barely even know. This whole thing started a couple days before my first day at a new school when my worker dropped me off at my latest foster family, with my bike in tow.
As we crossed the border, I felt a sense of familiarity, passing a sign that reads Magnolia Point, the same town I was found in years ago.
My worker leans over to me "this is your last chance kid, don't blow it this time I won't be able to help you, you're almost 18 this is it, understand?" he warned me. I just rolled my eyes and nodded he told me this when we got into the car and before that as well.
"I get it," I replied back.
"Good, now they are a younger couple with two other foster kids as well," I nod as we pull up to the house and the family is waiting for us outside.
We both get out, "Hi, you must be Drake, right? I'm Carol and this is Luis my husband," she says holding out her hand I take it.
"Nice to meet you" I say back trying to be nice.
"This is our oldest Kayla," she said putting her hands on a girl with dark red, purple dyed hair looking down at her phone.
"Hey," she said without looking up great, well at least I won't have to worry about her that much.
"And this is our youngest Coltten who you will be sharing a room with."
"I hear you have a motorcycle, is it in that trailer?" the kid who can't be more than 13 said with way too much energy.
"Coltten, behave Drake just got here," Carol said.
"It's fine, yes I do and yes, it is do you want to see it?"
"Can I?" Coltten asks getting even more excited.
I wave him over to the back of the trailer as my worker opens it up, I help him put the ramp down and hop up to push it down onto the street,
"is that a Harley Davison deluxe Softtail?" the kid asked.
"yeah, how did you know that?" I asked taken back that the kid actually knew what it was.
"Coltten here is a little genius especially when it comes to anything that has an engine." Luis told me "so what year is it?"
"2005 worked my but off to get it though" I told him.
"Really, where?" he asked.
"The shop I got from; I worked every day after school just to pay it off, I worked there until I had to leave." I said getting kinda emotional it was the best place I had been, if it wasn't for the father.
"Well let's get it in to the garage and head in for some dinner." I nod and I hand my helmet to Coltten.
"Bring it in for me?" his eyes lit up as he takes it.
I push the bike in to the garage say bye to my worker, and walk into the house. Coltten leads me to the table where everyone is seated other than us. It looks like a normal meal, but I do notice one thing off no dairy, usually the family's I stay with doesn't care or doesn't bother to find out that that I'm lactose intolerant. I sit down beside Coltten, Luis hands me a plate of chicken. "take what you want we have more" he said as I took the plate, I pile on three thighs and a couple scoops of rice and veggies.
"You have quit the appetite, don't you?" Luis says taking a bite.
"You have no idea," I said with a small smile and digging in. After dinner Coltten takes me up the stairs.
