"I've found him!"

Ron grabbed the Chocolate frog card from Harry, reading it aloud for the quartet to hear.

"Dumbledore is particularly famous for defeating the dark wizard, Grindlewald in 1945, for his discovery of the twelve uses of dragons blood and his work on alchemy alongside his partner Nicholas Flammel." Ron exclaimed with wide eyes.

"I knew the name sounded familiar. I read it on the train that day." Harry breathed, relieved that he had finally figured out why he knew the name.

Hermione packed away her books swiftly, grabbing Hestia's with them and shoving them into her large bag. "Follow me!" The girl said as she leapt out of her seat and hurried out of the hall, Hestia hot on her tail. The group didn't need telling twice, noticing the determined look on the girls face. After grabbing their books, the boys followed suit. Running out of the hall as Neville objected.

"Wait, where are you going? What about the counter curse?" He yelled desperately. However, the girls were long gone and the boys were too far away to hear, leaving the boy to topple over and the students to laugh.

The trio sat at a vacant table in the dim library, waiting patiently for Hermione to return. Hestia looked out of a window, falling deep into the land of thought. Outside, it began to grow warmer and the snow was almost completely melted by now, leaving the grass cold without its thick blanket. To Hestia, it was just another reminder that the holidays were over and she had alot to do this term.

Meanwhile, a certain bespectacled boy watched her in curiosity. This girl, despite not knowing the boy long, had shown him more kindness than his aunt and uncle ever had and though he was grateful, he had to wonder why.

Why had this girl decided to befriend him that day?

Why had she stuck by him and supported him with whatever he did?

Maybe it was just another of the worlds unanswered queries.

Or maybe, the universe had decided to perform a miracle. Maybe, just maybe, the world had took pity on Harry, making up for all of its wrongs by gifting him an angel.

Maybe, after all the years of not receiving gifts, Harry had been given the greatest gift of all.

"Of course!"

Hermione's voice pulled both friends out of their own minds, tearing them from their never-ending thoughts.

"I had you looking in the wrong section. How could I be so stupid?!" The girl exclaimed, dropping the heavy book onto their table with a loud thump.

"I checked this out weeks ago for a bit of light reading." Hermione explained as she sat on the bench next to Hestia.

"This, is light?" Ron deadpanned, his face scrunched up in confusion.

The girl gave him a glare as she flipped through pages, making Ron wince in fear. It might not be obvious to those who don't know Hermione, but the girl can be bloody scary. If looks could kill, Ron would have definitely been six feet under by then. Hestia stifled a laugh at the sight, the boy shrinking in his seat.

"Of course, here it is." The girls finger gently brushed over the words.
"Nicholas Flammel is the only known maker of the sorcerers stone!"

The trio looked at each other with furrowed brows.

"The what?" They all said in unison, causing Hestia to smirk.

"Honestly, don't you two read?" Hermione said to the boys, one eyebrow raised in an unimpressed manner.

"Hey! Hestia didn't know either." Ron pointed out. Hermione just rolled her eyes at the boy.

"The sorcerers stone is a legendary substance with astonishing powers. It can transform any metal into pure gold and can produce the elixir of life, which will make the drinker immortal." Hermione read aloud.

Ron's face scrunched up in an expression that Hestia didn't recognise. "Immortal? "

"It means you can't die."

"I know what it means-"

The boy was cut off by Harry, who raised his finger to his lips with a "shh". Both girls smirked at the gesture though Ron didn't look as amused. Hermione looked at him for a second, ensuring that he would keep quiet before she continued.

"The only stone in existence belongs to Nicholas Flammel, the noted alchemist, who last year celebrated his 666th birthday." She finished with wide eyes.

"Wow, he must look like a right prune." Hestia whispered without a second thought, to which both boys snorted loudly whilst Hermione smiled, shaking her head slightly.

"That's what's Filch is guarding on the 3rd floor. That's what's under the trap door. The Sorcerers Stone."

The quartet looked at each other in shock.

Now, that certainly answered one of Hestia's questions.

1. What was it that the dog was guarding that Snape wanted so badly?

The Sorcerers Stone. And the answer to why Snape wanted it was clear enough. Why would anyone pass up the opportunity to be immortal and turn any metal to gold?

But it still left Hestia with some questions.

Why was an object like that kept hidden away in a school?

And if Snape was helping to guard it, then why was he trying to steal it? It didn't quite add up to what Hagrid had said days prior.

Hestia really had her work cut out for her, huh?
