A job

(I'm sorry i didn't find the original creator of the fanart, again:()

"A job here..?" The beanie boy raises his eyebrow.

"Y- yes! A job. I'm looking for one, and this seems like a nice job" Schlatt tried to say, sweat going down his cheeks.

"I can ask my boss for sure" Alex smiled.
Then Alex took a small piece of paper from his back pocket, and a pen from another. He started writing something to the paper. Then he handed Schlatt the paper. It was full of numbers. Could it be..

"There is my number, you can text me if you need any info" Alex smiled, and turned around to leave. Schlatt stared at the paper, and was about to put it in his pocket, before he saw the clock. 2pm?! How did time go so fast?! He left Tubbo alone for 2 hours, thats too much! Schlatt grabbed the meal an ran into his car as quick as possible.

Schlatt ran out of the car, stuttering with the jacket. He tried to grab the keys out... finally! He unlocked the door and threw the keys on the table harshly. He ran to the living room, to see Tubbo watching a kids movie on his Ipad.
   Schlatt took a deep breath, and threw himself on the couch. He took out his meal, just to notice Tubbo's glowing eyes staring at the meal. Schlatt looked at the meal, and then at Tubbo.

"You want some bud?" Schlatt asked, handing the meal and a fork closer to Tubbo.
Tubbo looked at Schlatt, and grabbed the meal. He sneaked next to Schlatt. Schlatt ofc noticed it, and put his arm around Tubbo, turning the TV on. First Schlatt didn't focus on the movie, he just took his phone out of his pocket. Then he remembered Alex. Alex gave him his number. Schlatt started looking for the little paper he had,,, found it! He tapped the number to his phone, and texted Alex.

"Hi! :)"

Schlatt changed the contact name to "Alex". Then he started watching the movie and put away the phone, just to notice how he fell asleep really fast.

Schlatt woke up in the morning to his phone shaking. He took his phone, and the bright flash went all over his face. Schlatt closed his eyes quickly. He saw a message from Alex. He tapped it right away.

"Hey, it's you, the one in the cafeteria, right? What is your name again, didn't catch it :)"

Schlatt stared at the message, and started slowly typing. Alex was online, so he would see the message immediately.

"Oh my name's Schlatt"

Schlatt waited for a response nervously. Then he saw it. "Alex is tuping" . He stared at the 3 dots moving. Then the text popped up.

"About the job, boss said you can come to work today! He gave you the job right away, since we need new workers! :) Your work starts at 8am!" Alex typed.
Then Alex went from Online to offline.
Schlatt looked at the clock on the wall. 7am. Damn. His work started in a hour. It was weird how he just got the job. Then a second thought came into Schlatt's mind. What about Tubbo? He couldn't just leave him there.
   Schlatt found his old laptop from his bedroom. He took it and went back to the living room. It turned on! Schlatt went to the internet to look for a place to Tubbo. He looked and looked, and found it finally. It was some kind of kindergarten? It costs 12$ a week. Schlatt could just leave Tubbo there when he has work, and go take him home when the work ends. That sounded great. Schlatt messaged the kindergarten. All done.
   Then Schlatt checked the time— 7.47am?! Fuck! He would be late for his 1st day! He rushed to the door and grabbed his jacket with him, and tied his shoes as fast as he could. He had to leave Tubbo alone again. Hopefully Tubbo already knew that he wasn't home.
Schlatt left the house, locking the door.

"I'm sorry i'm late!" Schlatt screamed as soon as he got in to the cafeteria.

"It's okay dude, breath. It's only 8.03am" Alex giggled behind the counter.
Alex's smile made Schlatt's heart melt. He liked to see people smile, but Alex's smile was something special.

"Here follow me, i'll show you your job and clothes" Alex said, going to the backroom. Schlatt followed him, looking around.

"Here, these are your work clothes!" Alex smiled, handing Schlatt a white button shirt and a dumb ass looking hat.
Schlatt grabbed the clothes, and went to the changing room. He took off his shirt, and put the other one on. Then he put the hat on. Schlatt was struggling with the buttons. They were so annoying. He couldn't get them closed.

"Why are you taking so long!?" Alex screamed from the other side. Schlatt was too busy to answer, he was too focused on the buttons.

"Are you do-" Alex opened the door, and started before he saw Schlatt half shirtless standing and staring at him.
Schlatt's cheeks turned red, and he turned around out of embarrassment.

"Do you need any help?" Alex laughed, coming in.
Schlatt turned around to Alex. His face was like a tomato.

"Let me help a little" Alex giggled, and walked to Schlatt. Alex started closing the buttons on Schlatt's shirt. Schlatt's head warmed up even more. Alex was literally in front of him, and Schlatt could only see the top of his beanie, since he was so short.

"There you go" Alex laughed, and walked out of the room, Schlatt following him.

"Thanks Alex" Schlatt said quietly.
Alex smiled at Schlatt.

"Here, start with making the food!" Alex said, pointing at the ingredients. Schlatt went to the kitchen, seeing a bunch of papers in a row. "1 banana milkshake" Schlatt read. Schlatt knew a lot of cooking. He used to be a chef before, but sadly he got fired. Schlatt started mixing the ingredients, and the milkshake was done. He handed it to Alex, and watched the short boy giving it to a customer. Schlatt worked really hard on the meals, not noticing the time moving.

"Schlatt! It's our coffee break now" Alex screamed from the counter. Schlatt took his attention out of the meal, and walked to the same table as Alex. Alex handed him a large coffee, and smiled.

"It's nice to have a friend here now" Alex smiled.

"Yeah, i actually never had a friend before" Schlatt said, spinning his coffee nervously.

"Oh. Well i'm glad to be your first friend" Alex laughed. Schlatt laughed back at Alex. Alex made him smile for no reason. It just felt like Alex was the sunshine for Schlatt.

"Tell me about your family Schlatt" Alex said out of nowhere.

"My mom and dad are divorced. I lived with my dad, but he kicked me out. I don't have any siblings either. I'm not alone tho. I have a son, Tubbo" Schlatt told. It felt weird to tell everything to Alex, since they just met. But Schlatt felt like he can trust Alex.

"Damn, i'm sorry about your parents. I'm glad you have someone you care about. Do you also have a girlfriend then?" Alex asked, and tapped his fingers on the table.

"No no! I don't have a girlfriend. I found Tubbo. On the streets. Alone. I couldn't just leave him there." Schlatt laughed nervously.
Alex turned his eyes on Schlatt. He looked Schlatt with his eyes fully open. Then he put his warm hand on top of Schlatt's. Schlatt felt the warm touch quickly, and his cheeks turned red, as he turned his eyes on Alex.

"You have a really kind heart Schlatt" Alex smiled, looking Schlatt into his eyes.
Schlatt was speechless. No words came out of his mouth. All he could do is smile back at Alex, and thats what he did.

"What about you Alex? What about your family?" Schlatt wondered.

"Oh.. my mom left me when i was a kid, and my fatger is a drug addict." Alex laughed at himself nervously.

"Damn i'm sorry" Schlatt said back.

"It's alright. Tell me about Tubbo" Alex said out of nowhere.

"Well.." Schlatt started.
