Tears make you beautiful

Alex rubbed his neck, walking his way to home. Schlatt was probably already there, waiting for Alex. Schlatt said something about a surprise. I guess he had something big in his mind. Alex also wanted to say something to Schlatt. He had a confession. He was too scared to say it sooner, but today Alex hopes he gets a chance. This was something Alex had planned. He already got the money for it, and was ready to confess his true feelings to Schlatt.
     Alex came to the door step, and started to look for his keys. He opened the door and took off his shoes. Alex walked to the living room, to see Schlatt sitting on the couch.

"Oh Alex, finally you're here!" Schlatt gets up.

"Yeah. You said you have a surprise for me" Alex rubbed his hand behind his head.

"Yeah i do!" Schlatt grabbed Alex's waist and looked down to him.

Alex made eye contact with Schlatt. Schlatt didn't say anything. I guess he wanted to make Alex excited.

"We are going on a date!" Schlatt teases the smaller.

Alex rolls his eyes and gives Schlatt a small kiss. Kissing him didn't feel as good as it did back then. What happened?

"So .. you wanna go right now?" Alex asks, looking at the clock. It was already 6pm.

"Yes! Let me grab my jacket" Schlatt pulls his hands away from Alex.

Alex already walked to the door, just to see Schlatt standing next to him with his jacket. The boys were ready to leave Schlatt's house. Alex was somehow excited about the date. It just felt like he had no chance to confess his thing to Schlatt. He wanted to say it for a few days now. It just felt like Alex didn't know how to, or when.
     Schlatt started the car. Alex's mind was somewhere else. He looked at the soggy window. The New York view looked awesome. Alex just hopes he could live here forever.
     Alex's thoughts were interrupted by Schlatt's hand sneaking on his thigh. Alex's eyes turned on Schlatt's jawline, when the man was focused on driving.

"You okay Alex?" Schlatt asks, still not moving his eyes away from the road.

"Yeah.." Alex lets a smile escape from his cheeks.

The car suddenly stops, and Schlatt turns his eyes on Alex. Alex gives Schlatt a little eye contact, before turning his head around again.

"We're here" Schlatt gives Alex a little laugh.

Alex takes off his seatbelt and opens the car's door. He walks to the front after Schlatt. Alex and Schlatt walked closer to the restaurant, and Alex feels Schlatt's finger touch Alex's. Alex grabs Schlatt's hand and feels his cheeks heat up. This feels like a first date. It was so awkward .. and Alex didn't feel like dating. More like falling in love. Maybe he just never had time with Schlatt like this.

Alex was sitting on the other side of the table when Schlatt was making an order. Alex was so lost in his thoughts, so he didn't even realize how fast the food was already dragged to the table.

"Alex? You good?" Schlatt's soft words interrupted Alex's thoughts.

"Y-yeah! Sorry just thinking." Alex looks up at Schlatt. Schlatt's gives Alex a worried smile.

"The food's here, aren't you gonna eat?" Schlatt continues.

"O-oh! Yeah sorry, didn't realize" Alex smiles nervously and grabs his fork.

Schlatt looked at Alex. He was worried at this point. Alex wasn't as outgoing as before. He looked really nervous. They've been dating for such a long time, what happened today? Schlatt didn't want to bother Alex about it, so they both just ate their food peacefully and talked about nice stuff. It didn't even take them so long to finish with the food. Schlatt put some money on the table and gave Alex a hand.
