Before Kimberley even had time to think about the big day or process everything that was going on, the wedding was upon her. It had snuck up somehow. She had worked out her vows with much nail-biting and tedious self-correction. But in the end, she was satisfied with it.

Her mom and Sarah had outdone themselves. They had decided to hold the wedding ceremony in the same place the crew first landed the Aether on planet Holly. Mind you no one would be venturing into the woods this time! Tony had made sure of that. The two moms somehow had built a beautiful wedding arch with hanging flowers. Now that Kimberley took notice that most of the flowers were from Earth. No doubt Holly was behind this she thought shaking her head at Holly's brazen disregard for her own safety. She meant well though, and the flowers were breathtaking. They had purple, pink, and white Wysteria that draped long and wide within the impressive thatched white archway.

The backdrop was the valley they had begun to think of as cascade valley, named thusly for the river that cascaded from above to the forest floor far below. It was a breathtaking view. Set behind Cyrus and Kimberly in the backdrop were two of the three moons. One was in mid-sky, and the other was just setting. The one just setting must have been close for it appeared much bigger and obscured half of the first moon in mid-sky. With the green and purple grass, and the purple draping moss with hot pink iridescent flowers in the backdrop, mom's archway color scheme went off splendidly.

It was a small wedding so just both families attended and Caius, given he was like family. Everyone was seated in the beautiful white chairs and center isles designed with a path of small white flower petals leading up to the altar. The chairs were draped in a delicate white sweet autumn Clematis called Clematis Paniculata. It formed a drape over the backs of the chairs joining them to give the illusion of isles even if there were only a few.

They had all been seated. The bridesmaid naturally was Holly. Tony served as the best man, as he was the closest thing to a best friend Cyrus had besides Holly. Both looked very sharp. Kimberley was amazed at how well Tony cleaned up. She always saw him in his lab gear or street clothes so the disparity was stark. Holly was nothing less than resplendent in a dress of stunning Aquamarine blue. Kimberley smirked with amusement as she noticed how Travis kept stealing glances surreptitiously in Holly's direction. Anna May had a matching dress. Holly had not been able to stop herself from crying after Anna May was shown to her for the first time as her flower girl. She was just overwhelmed by how adorable she was. Kimberley couldn't blame her. Anna May was very cute when she wanted to be she thought with a smirk.

Kimberley had observed all this from the back, but now the music her mom had set up changed and it was their cue. Her dad took the lead. He had shed tears already when he saw her wedding dress. Kimberley seeing her dad crying caused her to cry. Tissues were her best friend today. That and really nice expensive waterproof makeup. She had to hand it to Holly for helping her find the dress. It fit her so well. It was snug comfortable like a glove. Kimberley had the veil over her face which was not as barring of her vision as she thought it would be. Her shoes were super stylish but surprisingly comfortable. She knew she would be grateful for this by the end of the day.

As they reached the front and turned about face Kimberley smiled at everyone waiting at the altar. It was actually here. She and Cyrus's wedding day. Speaking of which, there stood her prince charming front and center. He looked absolutely radiant. His sharp dark grey suit complemented her white wedding dress handsomely. The suit and slacks fit him very well complimenting his fit figure. His bow tie matched his outfit well. Anna May, who had just come up before Kimberley now stood, was beaming up at her. She smiled at Anna May. She was quite the little angel today. Kimberley only wished the grandparents could be here. It was a hard choice to leave them out, but it was too dangerous to go back to earth for them as they would most likely be watched. That and they did not want to risk implicating them any more than they had in the dangers at present. As everyone took their seats Kimberley's dad asked them if they were ready to give their vows. They both nodded in affirmation. Kimberley started first taking a deep breath choosing not to focus on her nerves, but rather why what she was saying was important. The courage then lent itself.
