"You're leaving?"
Gerhade watched Steven pack his things. She was saddened that her new friend was leaving. The two had become close during his time here.
"Yeah, you guys are awesome don't get me wrong, but there are people suffering out there. And I can't sit around doing nothing." Steven said as he sheathed his sword. Then he turned around and smiled at Gerhade. "Besides, I came here on an adventure! That means I have to go and explore this new world." Gerhade smiled. "If only there were more kind souls like you in this world. You will always be a friend of the fairies Steven Universe."
Lion groaned and Gerhade giggled while patting his head. "You two Lion." She had grown fond of the pink feline. He had reminded her so much of Oslo. The two even had similar abilities.
Steven had bid his farewell to the fairies, and received a LOT of goodbye hugs. After that, he got on Lion and set off.
***
It had been two days since Steven left the Fairy Kings Forest. He noticed that he didn't sense as much magical power as he did in the Forest. He also ran into some demons. The magical power he sensed from these beings was sinister. He didn't want to get his soul eaten so he did what he did best.
He talked.
He was aware of how demons were viewed in this world. And he didn't like it, people treated demons like animals. They were living beings too. So, he didn't fight them unless he had too. Thankfully they listened, and left them alone.
Steven didn't understand the conflict between clans in this world. What gave people the right to decide what lives are worth? Why do people judge each other based on their race? Gems and humans got along just fine back home, he was sure the clans in this realm could do the same if they really tried.
He was snapped out of his thoughts when he heard screaming. He looked ahead and saw a human village. And it looked like they were being attacked. "Lion, over there!" Steven said. Lion sped towards the village. As they got closer he could see grey and red demons stealing the souls of civilians.
Lion stopped a few feet away and Steven looked in horror. "Oh my stars..." he uttered. "Help! Please!" He saw a little girl run towards him, she had tears running down her face. The poor thing seemed to be injured as well, she had a limp and there was blood dripping from a large wound on her arm.
"Hey! You're hurt." Steven got off Lion and caught the little girl as she was about to trip. "Please, please help us mister!" The girl sobbed. "They're killing everyone! They're going to hurt my mommy and daddy! They told me to run, but..." she stifled a sob "I don't want to live without them! Please! Please save them!!!" Steven cradled the child and true to cal her down.
"Hey, it's okay. I'm going to help you I promise. But first, let me heal you're injuries." Steven spoke softly. He gave the girl a tiny peck on the forehead and all her injuries healed in an instant. The girl blinked and stood up. Her eyes wide with amazement. "Now," Steven said as he stood up. "Let's save you're village! Cmon Lion." He hopped on Lion and they ran towards the village.

Screaming, fire, soulless eyes.
That's what was happening around Steven at the moment. He and Lion sped through the village saving as many villagers as possible. He decided the gather all the villagers in one place and protect them with a diamond barrier.
"Roselle!" A woman shouted. "Roselle, where are you?!" Then he heard a mans voice. "Roselle! Please sweetie, answer!" Steven looked and saw a couple that looked very distressed. The woman seemed to be crying, while the man looked terrified. 'They might be the girl's parents!'
"Hey!" Steven called out. "Follow me, I'll take you somewhere safe." The couple looked at him. "But we need to find our daughter!" The woman said. "Your daughter is fine, but you won't be if you stay out here. Now come on!" The couple looked at each other, then proceeded to follow Steven.
He took them to the barrier and kept them there. "I think that's the last of them." He sighed. "Well, look what we have here." Steven turned around and saw a bunch of demons surrounding him. "This child is trying to play hero." The gray demon in front mocked.
"I'm going to have to ask you to leave." Steven said sternly. "And what makes you think we'll do that?" The demon responded. "I can't have you taking the souls of innocent people. I don't want to fight." The demon looked at him for a moment then laughed. The other demons began laughing too. "HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! You're so naive. Know you're place human, you've got some nerve going against the Demon Race."
"Don't underestimate me." Steven said while grabbing the hilt of his sword. "You have no idea what I'm capable of."
"Oh? Well then, it seems we'll have to put you in your place! Prepare to die!" The demons began to attack Steven. The red demons shot lasers at him while the grey demons used Dark Nebula. Steven stayed right where he was and there was a big explosion. The citizens were terrified that Steven had perished, but when the smoke cleared Steven was perfectly fine. He had summoned his shield. He had his sword on his other hand, his grip on it tight.
The demons where slightly surprised, but kept attacking. Steven used his super speed to disappear in a blur. Demons were falling out of the sky by the second. But they were caught by pink bubbles. Steven then appeared in front of the grey demon from earlier. He held his sword in the air, then slashed it. Pink thorns appeared and hit the grey demon and all the other demons around him. "Is that all you got?" But right after he said that, pink veins started sprouting from the thorns. The demons began to feel numb until the were completely immobilized.
"What...have you...done you insolent child?!" The grey demon shouted. "It's a new move a learned, pretty cool right?" Steven grinned as he floated above the demon. He noticed that demon looked like he was about to throw up. Then all the stolen souls of the villagers flew out of the demons mouth and back into their bodies. The same happened with the rest of the demons.
The grey demon panted and glared at the Crystal Gem. "You little bi-" Steven then summoned a huge bubble capturing all the demons. "Ah-ah-ah, there are children here sir." Steven said waving his finger. "Now, time to send you somewhere you can't hurt anyone." Steven then tapped the bubble and the demons where gone.
He floated down gracefully as the people watched in awe. Awe that a single child was able to defeat dozens of demons with ease. Steven dropped the barrier and the people immediately began to cheer for him. Then Steven remembered. "Oops! I almost forgot." He sped away much to the people's confusion, then he came back with a little girl in her arms. The couple from before widened their eyes and began to tear up.
"Roselle!" The girl looked up and immediately started to tear up. "Mommy! Daddy!" She ran up and hugged their parents tightly. Steven smiled. "Isn't that cute Lion?" Lion simply groaned in response. The family looked at Steven. "Thank you." Steven smiled. "No problem! I'm happy to help! And it was your brave daughter that came to get me in the first place." Roselle blushed. "That's my girl." The father said ruffling her hair.

Steven healed the injured, and also brought back some of the people that were killed by the demons. He also took the liberty of fixing the town with a move he was dying to try.
He stabbed his sword in the ground and focused. "Let there be Life!" A pink glow consumed the village and when it faded, the town was completely fixed, there were even more plants and crops now as well. He grinned as he looked on at his work. He loves doing that thing where you call out your attack/healing move before doing it.
The people were beyond amazed at his power. They decided to thank him with a feast. Afterwards he was going to leave but then...
"Wait! You never told us you're name!"
He stopped and gave a toothy grin.
"It's Steven. Steven Universe."
(Sorry, I'm not good at writing fight scenes. Hope you enjoyed this chapter though! Steven has finally made his debut!)
