Chapter 5: The Worldwide Threat

BEEEP, BEEEP, BEEEP . I woke up to the sound of the alarm clock beeping. I sat up and rubbed my eyes, I didn't feel like waking up, but I did anyways. I got out of the bed and got dressed, it felt weird changing in a place that I didn't know. When I opened the door to leave, Adam was standing right outside my door. "Ha..have you just been standing there?" I asked, Adam just nodded. "That's not weird at all" I muttered. Be beckoned for me to follow him, so I did. We walked down the hallway passing students and teachers. I had no idea where we were going, so I decided to ask. "Where are we going?" I asked, Adam just kept on walking. "I am taking you to your first class" he replied. "Oh? What class?" I asked, we turned another hallway before he responded. "Your first class is History, and your other ones are~ power control, P.E, and science." Adam said. "Oh...those all sound like normal classes...well besides the powers control class.." I said, Adam just chuckled. As we turned another corner Adam stopped in front of a door. "Well here is your classroom. Good luck and uh don't lose control" He said before walking away. I opened the door to a classroom. Inside were lots of kids sitting at their desks listening to the teacher talk. When I entered the classroom they all turned their heads to look at me, I was embarrassed. The teacher stopped and smiled at me. 'Hi there, I'm Ms Max, what is your name?" she asked, I just looked at her. "Ummm, Zack.. Zack Hartirx" I replied, she smiled. 'It's nice to meet you Zack, you can have a seat over there next to Noah" she said, pointing to a seat at the back of the class. I walked to the back seat, trying my best to ignore all the people looking at me. I walked to the empty seat and sat down, I looked over to the guy next to me. On his desk were two magnets, but they were levitating. As the guy moved his hand around, the magnets copied his movement. He turned his head to look at me and smiled. I smiled back at him, he looked around and leaned over. "Hey, my name's Noah, what's yours?" Noah whispered, I looked around and whispered back. "My name is Zack..ummm...Ho..how are you doing that?" I stuttered, Noah just smiled back. "Magic" he chuckled. He sat back up and continued to move the magnets in the air, and went back to listening to the teacher. I did the same...

20 MINUTES LATER

As we listened to the teacher talk, my thoughts began to wonder off. She was telling us all about the history of Prihumans, how that scientists have still not found what gave people their powers. I just thought about all the strange things that I've seen in the past couple days, then my thoughts trailed right back to the bathroom..how James' body was just lying there, blood everywhere.. the thought just repeated inside my mind over and over again. I tried to push it out but I couldn't, I kept trying but it wouldn't work. I tried so much that I didn't even notice that the teacher had stopped talking and left the room. I only noticed when Noah bumped me with one of his magnets into my arm. I slightly turned my head to look at him, he smiled at me. I smiled back at him, "Umm, I kinda wasn't paying attention, what happened..?" I asked. Noah responded, "Ms Max left the room to go get a TV, apparently we are to watch a documentary about the history or something." As I was about to speak, Ms Max opened the door to the classroom, she wheeled in a TV on a cart. As she moved it into the middle of the classroom, she grabbed the remote and turned it on. As the TV flickered on a guy in a white lab coat appeared on the screen. As we turned to face the camera he spoke "Ah, good day ladies and gentlemen, I Doctor Tannock am a geneticist, but I am also a scientist. For years I have studied what made the Prihumans and what gave them their powers. I have come up with one possible theory. Prihumans gained their powers from CM--" the TV glitched out and came to a stop leaving the room in the dark. "What the- what is going on?" Ms Max muttered to herself. As she tried to figure out what was going on, students started to whisper. I couldn't figure out what they were trying to say, but I tried my best. Noah leaned over and whispered to me. "What do you think happened?" he asked, I shrugged my shoulders. "What if the cord just got pulled out by accident or something is wrong with the TV" I replied. Noah shrugged his shoulders and went back to twirling the magnets in the air. There was a faint flicker sound and the dark room became lighter. On the TV screen was a guy, he was a good looking guy, though he was pale. Where the guy was, was the most alarming. He stood in a ruined building with bodies on the floor. Ms Max furiously clicked the off button on the remote, though it didn't turn the TV off. The guy on the TV looked at the camera and spoke. "Hello world, you may not know who I am. So allow me to introduce myself. I am Hallucination, I am the most powerful Prihuman to ever exist! None can compare to my power! I am here to make the Prihuman's the superior race." I heard more whispers in the class, though one kid yelled out "This is all fake! Some prank by the older kids in school!". Ms Max yelled back "Avery! Shush, listen!" The guy named 'Hallucination' continued to speak. "I do not need your money or your inventions! I want the United Nations to give me control of all countries in the world to rule under my control!! If you do not give me what I want, well I have assembled the strongest team to assimilate the human race! At this very moment! I am declaring war against the human race! Assemble your best armies, get your best Prihumans to fight me, nothing is going to stop me and the Death's Nightmare! Anyone who stands in my way! Prihuman's or humans will be killed! Not even students are safe! Be prepared to face your fears!" Hallucination finished. As he turned away from the camera, the TV shut off. Students started to panic, some were yelling and others were crying. Ms Max stood up  "LISTEN! These are very frightening times! I want all of you to go back to your rooms and stay in them until you are told to come out! Do you understand me!" She yelled. The class fell quiet, I looked around as everyone nodded their heads. So I nodded mine back. "Now go! To your rooms now!" Ms Max yelled again. Students rushed out of their seats, to the door. As we opened the door the hallways were crowded with students running to their rooms. There was lots of screaming and crying. I stayed behind with Noah. "Wh..what why is everyone screaming?" I asked him, somewhat yelling so he could hear me. He responded also somewhat yelling. "There are only four academies in the world, one in Asia, one in West Europe, one in East Europe and one here in Canada. If he is planning on attacking all academies we are in danger!" I felt fear rushing through my body, I had never been so scared in my life. "Zack! Stay safe!" yelled Noah, I nodded back at him and ran through the hallway towards my room......
