Mitch drove as fast as he could as far away from any form of human life. He drove towards the coast right by the edge of town. It was his only chance at getting as far away from town as possible and he though if he got it deep enough that it would prevent others deaths.

He knew he probably wasn't going to make it but he'd come to terms with dying a long time ago. If it's his time, it's his time. He looked over at the passenger side to the timer on the bomb and saw that he only had about 12 minutes left so he sped up even faster.

About two minutes later, just as he stopped the car at the coast, his phone rang. He quickly took it out and saw it was Annika. He knew he had to answer and tell her how he felt in case anything were to happen so he answered while grabbing the duffel bag and getting out of the car.

"Mitch what are you doing?!" Annika yelled through the phone. Mitch ran through the sand as he saw a boat by the dock "I'm trying to do what's right Annika. I can't let everyone die." Mitch said as he reached the boat and got inside.

Annika and the others could hear the crashing of the waves and the thumping of his feet against the dock's wood. They knew exactly where he was and were already on their way. "Mitch don't do anything stupid, you hear me? Mitch!"

"Remember I love you." he said before hanging up the phone and throwing it somewhere on the boat. He'd driven as far as he could but he knew he had to go farther. He checked the timer on the bomb and saw he only had about 6 minutes left.

He took a deep breath before throwing the duffel bag into the water, watching it sink further down before hurriedly turning the boat around and heading back to shore. Hey if he didn't have to die, he didn't want to.

He was nearly to the shore before the bomb went off and a tidal wave formed behind him. He could see the pack, Annika, Stan, and his dad running across the beach to get to the shore. He could hear their muffled yelling but couldn't make out what they were saying.

He gave them a content look before the tidal came crashing down right above him and dragged him down into the dark, cold sea. He didn't get a chance to get a breath before it hit and was losing air by the minute but knew he'd last longer that the average human.

He tried to swim up above the water but the waves kept pushing him down. The others on the beach stared out at the sea after they got over the earthquake-like rumble that the bomb caused trying to see if there was any sign of Mitch.

A few minutes of anticipation later they heard Mitch, only a few feet away, come up for air. They all let out a breath of relief as they went to go help the man out of the water. As they set him down on the sand Annika hit his arm with an angry look only to bring him into a bone crushing hug a few seconds later.

"Don't ever do that again, you hear me?" she said sternly, burying her head in his shoulder. Mitch just hugged back and nodded his head, closing his eyes to catch a breath and let go for just a few minutes.

They separated and got up from the sand giving everyone else a chance to give him a piece of his mind and a hug. After they had all got a hug and a word in they were going to talk about what happened they heard a gun being cocked.

They all turned around to see Ronnie bleeding and bruised with a gun pointed at them, specifically Mitch. Their breaths hitched as Mitch walked a few steps forward towards Ronnie. "Ronnie, put the gun down. It's over. You lost."

"It's not over until one of us is dead." Ronnie replied in a raspy voice. And, as if it all happened in slow motion, Ronnie shot the gun that was aimed at Mitch but Stan saw it coming and shot his gun at the exact same time.

In no time at all Ronnie was laying on the ground lifeless with a bullet in his head and everyone was in shock as they watched Ronnie's blood make the sand red. No one notices Noah was in front of Mitch and had taken the bullet for him until he turned back around to face them.

Everything was okay for about 5 seconds and then they saw the blood start to stain his sheriff's uniform. They saw the bullet hole right by his heart and Mitch knew right there that he wasn't going to make it.

"NOOO!" Mitch yelled as he grabbed his father before he fell to the ground and carried him as he slowly kneeled to the ground, the tears already rolling down his face. "No, no, no, no, no. Dad. Please. Please don't leave me. Please..." Mitch repeated as he stared down at his father who was growing paler by the minute.

"I-I- It's okay son. It's okay. I got to see you again, that's all I ever wanted since you were gone and now- now I can see Cl- Claudia.-" Noah started but ws cut off by Mitch who was shaking his head in denial "No, please. Please don't leave me, I can't lose you too. I won't survive..." Mitch said in a low voice, his voice breaking at the end.

"Yes you will. You w- wanna know how I- how I know? Because you're st- strong. You are so strong. And you will survive this. Just re- remember I love y-you and I am so pr- so proud of you." Noah said with a small smile as the blood started to pour from his mouth.

With a few ragged breaths Sheriff Noah Stilinski gave his final breath. Mitch let out a sob and then another as he cried into his dad's chest. "No dad, please. I love you too, dad. Come back. Please come back... Please..."
