Chapter Two: Selection

 (Third Person)

   Karasuno alphas were quick to scratch on the names of the ones they wanted to be their omega. Yamaguchi woke up from the cuddle pile and began panting and pushing against Sugawara. Sugawara was grooming Hinata who had woken up from a nightmare. The alpha was still there. A nurse walked in and looked at the pile. "Yamaguchi." The nurse cooed. Yamaguchi looked up. The nurse handed him a jacket that smelt of the blonde alpha he met in the hallway. The nurse wrote down a few things on the clipboard before trying to take the jacket away. Yamaguchi yelped and held it closer. "Mine." He whined through tears. Suga took a break from grooming Hinata and glared at the nurse who tried even harder.

  Sugawara wrapped his puffy silver tail around Yamaguchi who snuggled into him with the hoodie. Sugawara's glare gave off a 'touch my pup and find out what happens bitch' The nurse wrote a few more things down before walking out in defeat. Yamaguchi slept a lot easier with the hoodie he "borrowed". Sugawara noticed that some more of the omegas drifted off the sleep. It wasn't uncommon for omegas to fall asleep after breakfast.

   The nurse walked out where a group of teenage boys waited for her. "Well, Mr. Tsukishima good news is the Yamaguchi adores your scent bad news is I can't really retrieve it." She said bowing. "I apologize." Tsukishima shook his head and smiled at her. "It's alright it was an old one. I'm getting a new one soon anyway." He said with a pause at the end. "But it seems like he needs it more after all my scent sent him into heat." He smirked at the thought. The nurse smiled and wrote a few things down.

    "Well if you want to come back and see if he would like to be your mate I will put him on reserve and call you when he finishes with this heat." She said. Tsukishima nodded. "Sure, Put him under reserve." The nurse turned to her clipboard and wrote a few things down. "What's the name you want me to reserve him under?" She asked politely. "Tsukishima, Kei." He answered.

    The nurse turned over to the others and they asked if they could reserve omegas too. She happily obliged. "Well since these omegas aren't in heat you can request a visit with them but the meeting will be under supervision. And it won't last longer than thirty minutes unless the omega requests for it." She said with a smile. Daichi decided he wanted to meet Sugawara so the nurse told the guard on standby to lead him to the visitation room. 

   The nurse walked back into the room and gave a smile to Sugawara. "Sugawara you got a request for a visit." She said. Sugawara looked over at her. "I can't leave Yamaguchi here. He's in heat." The nursed sighed when Ennoshita wrapped his tail around Yamaguchi and shifted him closer to him for some needed snuggle time. "I got this Suga please follow the nurse to visitation." Sugawara smiled and stood up and followed the nurse down to visitation. She opened the room up and Daichi was there nervously looking down at his hand.

  "Mr. Daichi you requested a visitation with Sugawara." She said. He looked up and nodded. She let Sugawara in who sat in the chair across from him and stuck his nose up and sniffed the air. Sugawara will admit that his scent smelt so good. Daichi noticed and got closer so Sugawara could smell him better. Sugawara eventually stuck his nose into Daichi's scent gland sniffing him. A purr came from his throat as his tail swayed in happiness.

   The intercom pinged before a female voice echoed through the room. "Sugawara you're standing a little too close to him." Sugawara shot back instantly and had a red tint to his face. "I am so sorry your scent smelt really good." He mumbled. Daichi smiled "I'm glad! I really like your scent to though that's not what drew me towards you." He admitted. Sugawara was intrigued by his statement and smiled. "What drew you towards me?" He asked. Daichi smiled. "Seeing take care of those other omegas like as if they were your own pups warmed my heart I haven't really seen any omega do that." Sugawara smiled and blushed. "Oh, thanks?" He blushed. Daichi leaned over and kissed his cheek. Sugawara let out a loud purr and nuzzled him.

     Sugawara and Daichi parted ways. Sugawara accepted him as his alpha. When he walked in, Yamaguchi was crying as one of the meanest nurses in the entire center was trying to take Tsukishima's hoodie from him. Sugawara let out a loud growl and ran towards the two and lunged at the mean nurse and bit her hand. She let go of the hoodie and backed away.
     She held her bleeding hand. Sugawara stood in front of Yamaguchi. He held the hoodie close to his chest and cried. Ennoshita pulled him into the cuddle pile and tried to groom him back to sleep. The nurse grabbed a hold of Sugawara by the neck with her other hand.

       Sugawara continued to growl and snap at her. They heard some sounds before a low growl could be heard from the doorway.  She stopped instantly and dropped Sugawara. The omegas hid in fear. Daichi was in the doorway.

     He freaked out after seeing Sugawara being choked. Sugawara looked up and ran into Daichi's arms crying. Daichi held him and carried him to the other omegas cuddle pile. He sat Sugawara down and kissed his forehead. He looked over at the nurse. "For any reason at all you are not allowed to put your hands on an omega especially during selection when they have a chance of being with an alpha." He said. She scuffed and ran out of the room to the hospital wing.

      Daichi cleaned up the blood that was on the floor before heading towards the exit. Sugawara ran up and hugged him from behind. "When will you come back for me?" He asked. Daichi smiled. "Late Friday afternoon or Early Saturday Morning." He said kissing his forehead again. Sugawara smiled. "I'll be waiting." Daichi left the observation room and lined up with his class to leave. The nurse walked in and smiled as she saw the omegas settled back into their cuddle pile. "Okay, my lovely omega children I have a list of the omegas that will be leaving here this week or until their heat is over." She smiled and glanced at Yamaguchi who just snuggled into the hoodie. "Sugawara you will be leaving with Daichi this weekend, Yamaguchi you will be leaving with Tsukishima after your heat, Hinata you will be leaving with Kageyama this weekend, Nishinoya you will be leaving with Asahi Friday night and Ennoshita you will be leaving with Tanka this weekend." She said. Hinata began to cry and hold tightly onto Kenma and nuzzling into him. "I don't wanna leave Kenma." He sobbed.

   Kenma held onto him and let out whimpers filled with sorrow. Sugawara pulled the two into a hug and began to groom them both. "It's a small world. You two will meet again." He said grooming them. They both snuggled into Sugawara and fell into a deep sleep. Sugawara looked at Nishinoya and Ennoshita. "How was the visitation room with the alphas?" They both looked over. Nishinoya blushed and hid his face. "He's so dreamy." He said. Sugawara awed and looked at Ennoshita. Ennoshita sighed and looked over at him. "He's an idiot." He paused for a moment. "A loveable idiot." He hid his face in Yamaguchi's side. Yamaguchi smiled. "My alpha smiles nice." Sugawara smiled. "I'm glad that you guys are happy with the alphas you got but remember not to get attached. It'll ruin the plan."
