y/n woke up with a cold sweat, heart pounding fast inside her chest as she forced her eyelids open. Her dreams were so good to be true, although she doesn't know the reason why she's somehow smiling when she woke up. Her dream is about Yeonjun taking care of her when she caught a fever due to last night's storm, and even saw in her dreams that he stayed all day long while she sleeps. But soon enough she realized it wasn't a dream at all, when she sat up on her bed and saw Yeonjun standing infront of a door inside her room, and was about to twist the door open, "Yeonjun?"
Yeonjun almost jolted in socked after hearing y/n calling him. He quickly turned his back around after lowering his hand. "Are you okay now?" He asked while walking towards her, sitting on the side of her bed while touching her forehead that is now unexpectedly not that hot compare to earlier.
"Better than earlier, I guess" she shrugged.
"What are you doing there?" She asked with her eyes squinting, pointing at the door inside of her room that was connected onto another room inside their house.
"o-oh... I was just curious on why you have another door in your room other than the door of your bathroom and the door to outside" he said with confusion, still looking at the same door he badly wants to open just a few seconds ago.
"That door is connected to my sister's room" y/n simply answered, and she forced herself to sit and rest her back on the bed board as Yeonjun helped her to do that.
"Where is she?" Yeonjun asked, diverting his eyes on her.
"Far" she shortly answered while flashing a painful smile.
With that answer, Yeonjun can tell what happened and had the hint on why y/n answered a one word 'far' instead of answering him with an explicit answer.
Yeonjun was about to apologize and bowed politely as he realized he made the atmosphere a bit off and uncomfortable one. y/n turned in silence ever since he asked that question, and with that, he felt guilty. But before he could ever speak an apologetic 'sorry', y/n said, "It's fine"
When Yeonjun saw a sincere but weak smile crept on her face, he somehow breathed out heavily as that smile symbolizes an assuring gesture. However, he knew that the silence in between them could suffocate him any moment now.
"I get it that people die, and I'm aware that everyone's life isn't something permanent..."
y/n broke the silence which made Yeonjun diverted his eyes at her, seeing her looking down and heaving a deep sigh of sadness.Yeonjun never once saw y/n crying, maybe because it's only been a month since he met her or maybe because she wasn't really fond of showing her weakness with others. She's just like him, most likely. So when he heard y/n's voice cracked, it's the time that he knew, y/n hides the most painful reason behind those beautiful smiles and laughs.
