Darkness.... nothing but darkness.....
That's all Ryan could see. He couldn't feel the ground, or anything in that matter. He was just stuck. Floating.

"Ryan....." A voice could be heard. It was small and sweet. He didn't recognize it, but thought it was beautiful.
"Ryan....." The voice was a little louder. He could see a light. It was small but very bright. He could see a path that the light made and landed it. He slowly started to walk, his legs week and tired.

He heard another voice. "Ryan, it's time to wake up." His eyes opened, he looked around. He was in his room, covers over him. his door was open a little when he looked up. His mom must have got him up. Ryan got up from his bed, his floor was covered in dirty clothes. 'I need to do laundry.' He thought as he grab some clean close and went to the bathroom. Luckily his sister wasn't in the bathroom or he would miss his shower. He quickly got undressed and turned on the water. After a minute or two the water was warm and Ryan made his way in. Washing his dark brown hair, he thought about his dream. 'What was it about?' He wondered, 'Who was calling out to me?' He thoughts were interrupted by a pound on the door,

"Ryan hurry up," his sister Emily called, "I need the straightener!" Ryan let out a sigh and hurried his shower. After the shower he looked at himself in the mirror. The first thing he sees are his sapphire blue eyes, his mom would call the blue jean eyes, though other people just called them pretty. He then look at his hair. dark brown, mistaken as black a lot of the time, very shaggy but not very long. He then looks at his body, not fat but not skinny. Like a small chub, not very noticeable.

Exiting out of his thoughts he dried himself off and got dress in a black tie shirt and a dark pair of jeans. He grabbed his tooth bush and tooth paste and exited the bathroom. Emily was outside the door looking at him angrily.

"took you long enough." She entered the bath room and slammed the door. Ryan let out another sigh and went to his parents bathroom to bush his teeth.
After that was done he saw his mom ready for work.
She match his hair color, but hers was long and had curls. She has her work attire on, just normal business clothes with a black and white striped Scarf.

"Is Emily ready yet?" Ryan shook his head, "Not yet," he said sitting on the couch, "she's almost ready."
His mom let out an angry sigh and wet to the bath room door, she slammed her fist on the door, "Emily! I'm not gonna be late again because of you!"

" stop yelling at me!" Emily yelled out. Ryan's mom sighed again then went to the kitchen to pack Emily's lunch. Ryan was watching the window waiting for the bus his mom said would be here at 7:00. It was 7:06. Ryan was a little frustrated but kept his mind on his dream, still wondering what the light was.
The bus had finally come, and to Ryan's relief Emily was out of the bathroom in time for her and mom to leave as well. He said his goodbyes and left the house. He entered the bus for the first time. He just sat alone on the bus not wanting to draw attention to him, because as everyone knows the new kid is an easy target for bully's. At the next stop a red headed girl with glasses came on the bus. She looked at Ryan and gave him a look of frustration, then just told him to move his stuff. She sat next to him and Ryan paid her no attention, he didn't want to make things awkward if she didn't talk back. He rode the rest of the bus ride in his thoughts.
He made it to school after what seemed like hours to him. Grabbing his stuff he was about to exit when he bumped into the girl he sat next to.
"Hey watch it!" She yelled. 'Shit shit shit!' Ryan back off a little, "I'm sorry, guess I was day dreaming." The girl had a calm look to her which surprised Ryan, she crossed her arms and put her weight on her hip.
"Just don't walk in to people next time. Your new here right?" Ryan nodded. "Well how about I show you around the school? I know what's it's like being the new kid." Ryan didn't know what to think. He always thought that people hated new kids, but she was willing to help him out. Must have found the right person. He took her offer and followed her to the cafeteria.
He saw a big line in the cafe that lead to a table of teachers.
" you get your schedule over there, just go to the line with the letter of your last name." The girl said then went to her own line. Ryan walks to his line line and takes his schedule from a man who looked like he'd rather be something than what he's doing right now. Never the less Ryan meet with the girl again.

"Hey let me see your first class." She took the schedule and looked to find his home room was right next to hers.
She smiled at him, " your right across from me, see." She give him back his schedule. Ryan was about to say something when the bell rang.

"Oh! We got to run!" She took his hand and they ran to there classes, dogging other confused kids. They finally make it at the end of the long hallway.
"Man," Ryan said between gasps "I don't know you could run like that." The girl laughed the look at him, "Not very fit huh?" Ryan chuckled then smirked. "Well, we better get into class." The girl said and started walking to her class.

Ryan was about to do the same the realized something, "Hey!" He called out, "What's your name?!" The girl stopped and turned to him with a very serious look that made Ryan nervous. She then smiled, "It's Carrie." Then went into her class. Ryan was kind of puzzled by her quick change, but then smiled. A great start to his first day.
