The girl I love

Chapter two, the new kid

Ryan was given a chose by his home room teacher to walk around and see the school, or stay in the home room with the rest of the kids. He decided to walk around. The kids in his home room gave him a bad feeling that he couldn't shake off, like they're waiting for him to mess up so they have a reason to hate him. Deciding to walk was more than just looking through the school.

He found his way to the library. No one was there as far as he could see, so he decided to enter. It was quite big and full of interesting novels like 'To Kill A Mocking Bird' and 'Why we can't wait'

Ryan look around a bit estimating the library to be as big as a collage library. He looked to see if anyone was around. 'No teachers no stude... Scratch that.'
He saw a girl sitting on one of the chairs the library provided. She was reading a book called 'the theory of the universe.'

She had brown, wavy hair with a purple clip in it. Her eyes were a light brown which matched her hair, she wore a pair of reading glasses and a purple shirt with blue jeans. She looked like a quiet girl that would read a lot.

Ryan, seeing that she was alone like him, decided to go over to her and see if she was willing to talk. When he walked over he called out, " hey." She didn't respond reading her book. Confuse Ryan called out again. "hello?"
still reading. Ryan didn't know how to get her attention, then saw her name at the front of the book. "Uh Haley?" She then looked up from her book dumb founded then smiled at Ryan.

"Hello." She said looking at him. Ryan laughed at Haley's reaction then laughed harder at her confused expression.

"I'm sorry," he said between laughs, "that was just prefect!" Haley pouted at him, "that's not very nice, laughing at someone you just met."

Ryan finally stopped his laughter, "I'm sorry, for real. I couldn't help it, I'm Ryan." He stuck out his hand for her to shake, but she took it as a high five. Ryan was confused for a second, "uhhh that was for.. Never mind, so why are you here? It's home room isn't it?"

Her eyes grew wide as she shot up, "Wait the bell rang?! Oh no I'm late already!! Haley then took off running faster than Ryan's ever seen someone run. Ryan laughs again then heads out the door.

Ryan walks around in the halls a little more till the bell rang. He saw kids coming out of the classes at the same time. Ryan looked in his schedule to see his next class was a class he never heard of. Debate. Making his way down to the class he runs into Carrie.

"Hey Ryan!" She says with a big grin. "What class you have next?"
"Something called debate, you know what that is?" Ryan asked
"Wow you really are new huh?" She then puffed up her chest and pounded it. "Alright newbie, luckily you have the same class as me so I'll show you the ropes." Ryan looked at her humored. They had fun in the class laughing at the teachers wired ways and Ryan learned how to argue a little. After that class the two friends walked out.

"That was really fun!" Ryan exclaimed, "I never thought I would meet someone so... so.... Debatable."
"I know right?" Carrie laughed, " so we only got two more classes what do you have next?" Ryan looked at his schedule. "Lunch."
"Awwww!!!" Carrie wined at him, "I have dumb algebra!" Ryan shrugged, 'not my fault' he thought as they said there goodbyes and parted ways.

Ryan found his way to the cafeteria, it was full of people he didn't know. No Haley or Carrie around to keep him company. He went to get his lunch then made his way to an empty table. Eating the chicken sandwich he picked up, he decided to look around at the others. They all had there own groups it seemed. The populars are with the populars, band people with the band people, and so on and so forth. Then there was him, at an empty table eating alone. 'Man this is lonely' he thought.

Next thing he knows a girl slams her hands on the table making Ryan jump.
"Your at our table!" Said the girl putting her face closer to his with an angry frown. "As punishment your soul will be sacrificed to our go-" just then another girl comes up and headlocks the girl yelling in his face. "Rachel what did I say?! No scaring him!!" Yelled the other girl. Ryan, very confused, just stared at them. "I'm sorry I'm sorry!!" Screamed Rachel trying to get out of her grasp. The other girl let her go then smiled at Ryan, "Sorry about that, she's a little wired at times. My names Carly." She stuck out her hand. Ryan shook it introducing himself. "So your the new kid right?" Asked Carly, "We heard rumors but didn't know."

Ryan smiled a little seeing how kind they acted around him. "Yeah that be me." Nodding in reply.
Carly smiled back " Well, I hope we can be friends at some point, but right now I think we'll let you enjoy your lunch. Take care!" She then gabbed Rachel and dragged her off, Rachel waved while being dragged which made home laugh.
Ryan's fears of the people hating him started to fade as more and more people started to come and talk to him.

Finally Ryan gets back on the bus that brought him to his new school, and all and all he thought well about it. Today turned out to be a great day. Even if all the people he meet today were a little add, he couldn't wait to see what the next brought on him new adventure.
