Chapter 3 Best Freinds

It's been a whole month sense Ryan moved to his new school. He meets up with Haley in the library every morning and talks to her about classes and good books that they've read. Ryan asked her why she is always in the library. " oh you see, I'm not very good with people, " Haley replies, " I tend to want to just stay out of the way so I don't get yelled at. " Ryan leans back on the wall and nods, " I understand, I'm not that good with people either. " Haley looks surprised that her new found best friends wasn't that talkative. Ryan laughed at the response. Haley then pouted, " why are you laughing? " Ryan continued his laughter and in between a few gasp for air he answers, " I'm sorry, I'm just, was expecting, a face like that. " Haley pouts again and Ryan finally stops his unexplained laughter. " sorry again, it's just I love the reactions of people when there surprised or confused. People make faces they wouldn't always make when that are. " Haley questioned if the boy was crazy or actually thought that her reaction was funny.

The bell rang for first period to start so Ryan said his goodbyes to Haley as they parted ways. As the day progresses Ryan is sitting in his second period, which was history. Ryan actually liked learning about the history of the world as he found the world had a lot to offer. He could grab an apple from a tree and thank the world for giving him food. He would see a litter of kittens with their momma and he would think the world for giving life, and history let him see what has happened to the world and how it grew and matured just like a any other thing that existed.

Ryan jumped as he heard a slap in his desk. " pay attention Ryan, or I won't answer any questions you have. " his teacher barked and Ryan's classmates laughed. Sinking into his seat Ryan made sure to not daydream anymore.

After class Ryan started packing his bag with his assignment when a saw a hand on his desk, looking up he sees a boy looking at him. He wore glasses that looked rectangular, his hair was brown and styled like a bowl hair cut with a little curl at the end, he wore a black T-shirt that had big yellow letters spelling nirvana. Dark baggy jeans and black and blue shoes.
" Hey. " he greeted, Ryan gave him a sour look as he zipped up his bag. " Aw come on I'm just trying to friendly. " the boy commented, " how about we start again? " he holds out him hand. " Hey, I'm Ian nice to meet you. " Ryan was a little confused but then smiled and shook Ian's hand. " Ryan. " Ian smiled, " So what do you think of the school so far? I mean I know it can be a pain at times but I promise it's not to bad. " Ryan chuckled a bit. " it's not bad at all, Just want something fun to do, like a club or something. " Ian nods in agreement, " I hear you, but I believe they doing clubs in a few weeks. Like art club, outdoor activities club, student helpers, even some sports stuff if your into that. " Ryan gave a little bit of a sour look, he didn't hear anything that would appeal to him. Maybe art but he's not a painter, he only draws, and even if he drew he never put color in it.
The bell rings surprising both Ian and Ryan. " crap! We're late! " Ian yells as he swings his bag to his shoulder. " I'll see you later! " Ian runs fast down the hall way. Ryan grabs his bag and runs the other direction.

Lunch time rolled around, and Ryan graves the same food he always would get and sat at the same table. He quietly ate his sandwich thinking about his last class. Then something struck him as odd. It was quite. When has it ever been, " Ryan! " as if right on time Ryan gets tackled by a very excited Rachel. " Ryan Ryan Ryan Ryan! " Ryan struggled a little then laughed, " Rachel your kind of crushing me. " Carly then walked over arms crossed. " RACHEL!! " Rachel screams then jumps off of Ryan and goes to Carly's side. " I'm sorry!! I'm sorry!! " Ryan laughs again then gets off the floor. " sup guys? " he greeted the girls. " Hey Ryan, " greeted Carly, " Hows your day so far? " Rachel grabs her fork and starts poking at the " meat " she got from the line. " it's been pretty good. How about you? " Rachel then grabbed one of Ryan's fries which carry slapped out of her hand for stealing. " I've got no complaints. " Rachel pouted that she couldn't eat the fry and Ryan chuckled.
Suddenly The three heard a Big Bang and when they look a guy was on the floor while another was standing above him. The guy standing kicked the boy on the floor, " come on wimp get up. " he kicked him again and again, " get up I said! " Ryan got up from his seat, Carly and Rachel looked at him confused then realized what he was going to do. " oh no! Your not getting involved in that! " Carly said to him. Ryan looked at her and smiled, " I'll be back real quick. " Ryan runs towards the boy guy kicking the other. " Ryan! " were the last thing he heard from Carly and Rachel as he tackled the guy. The guys friends got up and tried to pull Ryan off but the boy that was kicked punched one of them before they could do anything. Ryan punched and punched till he was kicked off, the guy gets up and punches Ryan, only to get jumped on by the other. After about ten minutes of fighting the guy and his friends were tired and hunched over, Ryan was gasping for breath with bruises on his face. The boy he fought with was in the same condition as him but a little more beaten. " Hey, " the boy suddenly said, " before we continue, what's your name? "
" It's Ryan. " the boy smirk, " I'm Sam." The boys smile at each other then looked it the other. After a moment they charged at them and the fight continued.
After 10 more minutes all boys were on the ground gasping and groaning. Ryan and Sam were drugged away by Carly and Rachel. " Why in gods name did you do all that?! " Carly lectured. " you guys are lucky that the teacher weren't there or you guys could be expelled! " Ryan didn't say anything and Sam just smirked. " we did pretty good huh? " Sam said, Carly shook her head. " unbelievable. " Rachel smiled at the two. " you guys did what a lot of people wanted to do to that jerk for a long time. " Carly sighed. " next time don't do something so stupid. Ryan just smiled at her and she smiled back. Ryan never imaged he get into a fight, he's not really a fighter but it happened. He decided to call it a draw. Hopefully his parents won't question to much. Though out of all of that, he's sure he's made a new best friend.
