Boba is a drink with chewy, edible pearls (bubbles)
In boba stores you can usually change the type of drink and pearls.
You can also have no pearls, usually. Just the drink. Although I think the pearls are fun.
If you are a vegetarian you should get tapioca pearls.
Those are made from plants, more specifically tapioca roots.
There are probably more pearls but I personally know it's safe.
My order is usually a tapioca milk tea, with tapioca pearls (if there are sizes there may be more bubbles when they're smaller but I prefer the bigger ones because it's just so much chewier)
