In the room that the alien was placed in was a door with a panel beside it. A scientist scanned a keycard and strolled in professionally. He walked toward the alien on the table and examined it with a magnifying glass.
He took a sample of blood placed it under a microscope. As he looked, the alien began to rise up slowly and painfully. Its sharp yellow teeth snarling. The lights began to flicker. Feeling something was wrong, the scientist spun around slowly...
He saw the creature standing on the table, and it was fixated on its ray gun on the table beside him. The gun began to lift into the air with an irregular purple field around it toward the aliens hand.
He held the weapon with his 3 fingered hands and turned a dial with strange hieroglyphs on. He pointed it at the scientist and pulled the lever. A beam of purple energy surrounded the man, and he disappeared...
The alien had disappeared too. At least, thats what it looked like. The alien had in fact taken the scientists body and disguised himself as it. Now, he could walk around the base undetected...
