Season Two- One On One

Todoroki stared icily at Katherine and Midoriya. He had taken the opportunity while they were walking out of the stadium to pull them aside into an off-limits corridor. Midoriya watched him nervously while Katherine stared calmly back. She was not at all impressed with his current attitude, and she hoped this wouldn't take up too much of her lunchtime.

"Well, you brought us here. Now what?"

Todoroki said nothing, he just kept glowering at them. Midoriya gulped, not used to the quiet intimidation that Todoroki displayed. He was more accustomed to dealing with Bakugo's hot-headed temper. After a few more minutes, Katherine cleared her throat. "Alright, this has been a great chat, but if you'll excuse me, I'm going to–"

"I was overpowered," Todoroki stated.

Her indifferent front was broken as she blinked in confusion.

What? What's he talking about?

"So much so that I broke a promise," he continued. "One I made to myself a long time ago. But now that I think about it..." Todoroki glanced at her. "You probably didn't even notice, did you?"

"...Uh...notice what, exactly?" Katherine asked. "A lot was going on, and I was kinda sightless."

"He used his left side on you," Midoriya explained. "You didn't notice?"

She rolled her eyes at them both. "Well, as I said, I wasn't really in a place where I could be observant during the battle, Midoriya."

"Yeah, right, sorry."

Todoroki looked at his left hand. "Your assault...it reminded me of Midoriya's power. It made me realize something."

Midoriya and Katherine shared a confused glance.

What's going on?

"The energy coming from you when you attack, Midoriya...," Todoroki started, looking up at him. "It feels the same as the energy coming from All Might."

He tensed and stared at Todoroki apprehensively while Katherine looked between the two, wondering if she could leave.

"Midoriya, tell me..."

The other two waited in suspense.

"Are you All Might's Secret Love Child or something?"

Midoriya's eyes widened in shock and confusion.

Am I...WHAT?!

Katherine squinted, puzzled.

What's a Secret Love Child?

"Well, are you?"

Midoriya shook his head and waved his hands. "No, of course not! But even if I was I'd probably say something like that...so you most likely won't believe whatever I say."

Katherine nudged him. "What the fuck is a Secret Love Child?" she hissed.

"It's when you're in a secret relationship with someone and then they have your baby, that's a Secret Love Child," Midoriya rambled.

"Oh, never mind then. Carry on."

He smiled awkwardly and turned back to Todoroki. "My point is, you've got it all wrong, I swear. I mean, we don't even look similar! Katherine's like a photocopy of him, why aren't you asking her?" he added jokingly.

She pursed her lips and glared at him. "Don't rope me into this, Izuku."

"Sorry."

Todoroki peered at Midoriya with suspicion but nodded. "You two must know by now, Endeavor is my father. He's the Number Two Hero," he mumbled. "You may not be All Might's child, Midoriya, but if you have a relationship with him then it means I have even more reason to beat you."
