Chapter 5

Josh’s POV

Jennifer and I both decided to do Christmas shopping for the entire cast of the Hunger Games: Catching Fire cast! I am so excited to go shopping with Jennifer! This will be the second year we are shopping together! As I walk out of my room, I notice that Jennifer still didn’t wake up yet. I slowly walk up to her room and slip inside. To my surprise I spot her at her dining table eating breakfast. I can’t believe my instincts failed on me! Oh well! I quickly call out to Jen “Hey! What time did you wake up at?” She nods her head telling me to come and sit down. “Jen, what time did you wake up at for the second damn time” I asked her. She then slowly crunches on her cereal and then replies to me “Hey sleepy! I woke up at 7 in the morning. This means I woke up half an hour earlier than you!” I felt so embarrassed. I need to change the subject. “Hey Jen, when do you want to go Christmas shopping?” “Uhm…… How about in 15 minutes?” She asks. “Sure”! “Get ready and I will wait outside with my Ferrari.” I said.

Jennifer’s POV

As Josh left my room I quickly changed into one of my designer jeans and a leather jacket from Hollister. After deciding on my clothing I quickly grabbed my purse and my sunglasses and went down to the lobby. As I get out of the elevator I spot Josh’s Ferrari outside. I hop into the front seat and we speed off to the local mall.

Josh’s POV

As we sped off to the mall my phone started to ring. I told Jennifer to pick up the phone because I was the one who was driving. While Jen was talking to the person on the other end I remembered something. I promised Jen that I will buy her a new phone. This makes me smile cause now I don’t have to scratch my head and be like “OH GOD I DONT KNOW WHAT TO BUY FOR MY DAMN FRIEND!” As soon as Jen hangs up I give her a little smile and ask her “Hey Jen, What type of phone do you want?” She gives me a doubtful look and then answers my question “I think I want an I Phone 4 S like you but in white!” “Why are you asking?” She asks. “Oh I just felt like making a conversation.” I lie. “Oh.” She says. *AWKWARD SILENCE* after that little silent moment with Jen I think to myself: “Josh you are one lucky guy! You are going to get Jen the best Christmas gift that she ever had!” We reached the mall in 15 minutes. I parked the car while Jen went inside and got started with the shopping. I quickly park the car and run inside the mall. I spot her in the first store Aeropostale. I quickly run up to her “Jen are seriously trying to ditch your AWESOME best friend?” I ask while laughing. “Yeah I am ditching my best friend who can be a pain in the ass”. She replies while laughing. *3 HOURS LATER* After shopping for three hours we are finally done! No joke it was really exhausting. The only people we left out were us. We decided to surprise each other with an awesome gift! Well I know that I won’t have trouble buying Jennifer’s gift. A we were about to leave the Paps started to surround us. Before they could start spitting stupid questions at us I quickly grab Jennifer’s hand and push through the crowd. When I took hold of Jen’s hand I swear I felt a tingling sensation inside my body! I think it is from the cold outside. Right? It’s not like I have some special feelings for Jennifer, cause if I do I am literally cheating on Vanessa! “Josh stop thinking about whatever you are thinking and open up your damn car! It’s freezing!” Jen screams. “Huh!” I say like if I am some moron. “OPEN YOUR CAR”! Jen yells. With that I snap back to reality.

Jennifer’s POV

When Josh and I got back to the hotel I made sure to keep a very good distance from him. I don’t want him to find out what I got for him. Right? Or else it won’t be a surprise. I snuck out of my hotel room and too my surprise Josh wasn’t here! This makes my life easier. I head out to the mall and buy Josh some Michael Kors watch and an awesome looking black leather jacket. After paying the bill I left the mall and made it back to the hotel. I ran down the lobby to catch an elevator. Next thing I know it I am on the ground and a thing or someone is on top of me. I look up and see Josh on top of me with a frickin smirk on his face. “Hey beautiful! What are you up to?” He asks. “Nothing much. Why?” I ask/reply. He shakes his head and leaves with a big smile on face. I get up and go back into my room. Man that was a close call! I really have to be more careful.

Josh’s POV

When I got out of the elevator Jennifer bumped into me. When we fell down I was on top of her. I had a huge smirk on my face and I asked her “Hey beautiful! What are you up to?” She answered my question by saying “Nothing much. Why?” After our little chat I dashed out the doors and jumped into my Ferrari. I need to buy Jen her gift. In 3 more days it is Christmas! I sped off to the mall and went inside my best friends shop.  “Hey! Avan” I said. ‘Hey Josh” he says. “So what brings you here today?” He asks. “Oh I need an I Phone 4 S.” “Do you have any?” I ask. “Ya I do.” He says. “What colour do you want? There is black like yours and white.” He asks. “Uhm.... I’ll take the white”. I say. “Thaks Bro!” I say. “No prob bro, come again”! Avan says. I am so glad he is my best friend. “Well I have to leave now see you around later!’’ I say and then I leave. I grab the phone and ran to my Ferrari and sped off to the hotel. When I got there I quietly ran into my room and wrap up Jen’s gift. I hope she will like this. Until then I will have to shut my ass up and act like nothing happened. Oh god this is going to be really hard for me I usually tell Jennifer EVERYTHING and I mean EVERY SINGLE THING! Well I think I could keep a secret from her for three days. I quickly finish wrapping up her gift so I could help her wrap up everybody else’s gifts that we bought for them. I can’t wait till Christmas!!!!
