Apple's eyes shot open. The sun blared in her eyes through the white curtain. Apple groaned and turned around, and dug her face into her pillow. She sat up, and stared ito space in complete silence, realizing that Raven Queen, her roommate, was still asleep.

Apple quickly changed, desperate for some fresh air, hopefully to cure her stinging head. Apple didn't bother to brush her hair well, or apply makeup, not expecting to see anyone in such early hour anyway. She quietly closed the door, and walked through the empty halls. To Apple, Ever After looked so diffrent compaired to daily life when they were buzzing with voices.

Honestly, Apple liked the quiet more.

Once outside, Apple took a deep breath to melow her beating heart. She didn't know what bothered her so much, but she didn't like it either. She collapsed on a near by bench. She dug her head into her hand and tugged on her locks.

She closed her eyes and enjoyed the quiet, when suddenly, her phone rang. Apple rolled her eyes, and answered.

"Hello, Mother." Apple answered.

"Hello Apple."

Snow White sounded stern. She was most definitely angry at her.

"I saw that little charity scheme of your from one of Blondie's blogs Apple. Want to explain what that was all about?"

Apple mentally slapped herself. Of course Blondie would be there to record and expose everything.

"I'm trying to find a new style..." Apple started.

"What's wrong with your current one?"

"Nothing, it's just that I'm having a change of heart, I just don-" But Snow White cut her off.

"Whatever Apple. I don't want to hear it. I don't have time for your issues. Get some new clothing since what you had wasn't good enough for your spoiled heart. I've got business to attend to. And you need to maintain your reputation, Apple. You don't want people to think bad of your mummy, now do you?" Snow White paused. "I hope your not rethinking signing the Book of Legends, are you? Ugh, surrounded by rebels, putting a poor influence on you. Stay away from Raven, will you? And the others. I barely recognize you anymore, Apple."

"But Mr. Grimm told us to stay close to those who are in our stor-"

"Yes, we'll I'm saying to stay away. I'm going to be late because of you, Apple. There is always something wrong in your perfect life. Anyway, bye Apple. Talk to you later."

"Bye, love you"

But Snow White didn't answer. She hung up instead. It's always been like that. Never had Snow White ever told her that she loved her. Everything was about reputation. Apple groaned again, layed on the bench. As if she was going to stay away from her friends.

As the sun fried her face, a shadow appeared over her.

"Are you okay Apple?" A familiar voice said.

Apples eyes popped open, and she saw a dark figure of nothing ne other than Cerise Hood looming over her.

Apple sat up. "I'm... fine."

"I saw Blondies post. How's your mom treating you about that? I know how hard she is on you."

That's right. Cerise did know. In fact, she might have known better than anyone. One too many times had Apple stressed over signing The Book of Legends. Snow was pushing her to hard. And when Apple popped, Cerise was there for her. Of course, Apple was grateful for Cerise's care, but they stopped talking afterwards. They were strangers again. And here history was, replaying itself. Except, Apple had a new issue.

Apple patted the seat next to her. Cerise raised an eyebrow, but sat down regardless.

"Have you ever had such a big secret, that you are desperate to get out, but you can't because your entire future might collapse in second and everyone will continuously shame you for something you can't exactly control?"

As soon as those words escaped Apples mouth, Cerises hands flew to her bright red hood.

"No... why?"

"I just thought you might understand."

"You can trust me Apple, I'll be there for you. I know we might not exactly be friends, but I'm not stone hearted either. You can tell me anything." Cerise said, interwinding her fingers into Apples.

Cerises soft touch made all Apples seem to melt away, and she gathered courage to expose herself.

"Cerise... I think I might be a lesbian."

Cerise's sympathetic face quickly melted into shock. After a few second of staring, Cerise spoke again.

"What?"

"Ugh, I knew it was a mistake telling you! I'm sorry Ceri-" Apple groaned, shoving her face into her palms, but Cerise cut her off.

"No, no Apple, please. I understand. I just never thought that you of all people would be gay. I never saw you that way."

"I know, I know. And it goes wayyy of the charts of my story. I'm done for, Cerise. Dead." Apple whined.

After some silence, Cerise spoke "Wow." She mumbled. "Any lucky gal out there?"

Apple looked at Cerise, her eyes glowing. "Maybe. Promise not to tell? Anyone? Not even Cedar?"

Cerise nodded. Cedar was her best friend, but Cerise was willing to keep a secret for Apple.

So they made a deal, and walked their separate ways, for now.

As Apple was walking to the Castletiria for some breakfast, her phone got a notification.
