I wake up to the sun beaming in through the window. "Oh my god!" I say to myself. "I'm going to be late!". I quickly jump out of bed pull my uniform on and brush my teeth and sprint down the corridor into the common room to see Harry and Ron still waiting for me. "What took you so long? It's not like you to be late!" Harry says with a confused look on his face. "sorry, I was up late studying" I say knowing full well that was not the case. I was actually up late thinking about Dean and Cedric and what to do about them, but I decided not to talk about it with Harry and Ron because they'd only laugh.
We are walking down the halls when I hear someone crying in the girls bathroom. Nobody ever uses this bathroom so I was a little curious as to who would be in there. "Go on down, I'll meet up with you later" I say to Harry and Ron while slowly walking towards the entrance of the bathroom. "Hello?" I whisper. No answer. "Who's in here?" I say again. I turn around the corner to see a tall blonde boy crying up against the sink. "A..are you o....okay?" I ask. He turns around and I know exactly who it is. It's Draco Malfoy. "I'm fine!" he says aggressively as he storms out.
"You're telling me that Draco Malfoy was crying in the girls bathroom?" Ron asks in disbelief. "Yes, I'm worried for him" I say looking over at him holding his head in his hand staring at his food. I genuinely did feel sorry for him. he seemed really upset after all, I just wish I could find out why.
On my way to potions class I walk past the same girls bathroom and see Draco walking in to them. I wait a while before entering the bathroom too. "Draco?" I say wondering if he'll decide to shout at me to go away or genuinely talk to me. instead I find him taking pills. "Hermione!" he shouts "What are you doing here again?!". "I...ummm... just wanted to see if you were ok?" I said unsure of what else to say. he clearly wasn't ok, it was clear he wasn't meant to be taking those pills. "I'm fine granger, just leave me alone!" he says angrily. the anger inside me starts to take over and I start thinking of how stupid he was being. "NO!" I shout at him. He turns around in shock at the fact I shouted at him. Nobody ever shouts at him. He just starts crying and runs out of the girls bathroom. I run after him but it's too late, I already see him running down towards the black lake, that's where he sits to think about things. I decide not to go after him, instead I go to potions class because I know if I'm any later professor Snape will give me detention.
I walk into potions class to see Harry look at me as if to ask 'what the hell have you been doing for the past fifteen minutes?!'. I just look at him and say nothing. I go over and stand next to neville because I know I can't tell Harry or Ron and they will only ask questions. After about twenty minutes Draco walks in and stops in shock when he sees me and walks straight out again. Now everyone must have questions to ask.
