Lana stepped through the wall into Platform 9 3/4 as Draco trailed behind her with Lucius and Narcissa in step behind him. "Lana! wait up would you ?" the white haired boy called, the girl quickly spinning around to face her cousin as he caught up to her. "If you hadn't taken an hour and a half in the shower this morning we wouldn't be running late" Lana spat, the boy chuckled at her as a smirk pulled on his lips "in a hurry to see Blaise are we?" teasing the girl as he rose an eyebrow in question. Lana rolled her eyes at the boys question 'why must he always assume something other than friendship was going on between Blaise and herself' letting out a slight huff ignoring the question completely the girl resumed the pace she was previously walking at. Lana stopped at the entrance to the train waiting to say her 'goodbyes' to Lucius and Narcissa, they were the closest thing to parents that Lana had ever experienced. The couple walked up to Lana as Draco stood next to her, Narcissa stood in-front of  the girl giving her a quick hug as she pulled away she whispered in the girls ear "Have a fantastic year, and remember your task". Lana nodded at the woman as she spoke in a low clear voice "Thank you Aunt Cissa, I wont let him down again, I promise" the girls voice wavering a bit as the last words passed through her lips. Lana then stepped to her Uncle as his cold eyes glared down at her " Make sure neither of you fail, you know what will happen if you do" his voice low but extremely stern, Lana looked to Draco before responding for the two of them "I'll make sure that both tasks get done before the first break of the year". As the four said the rest of their farewells the whistle blew on the Hogwarts Express signaling Lana and Draco to board the train, the girl turned and gave Lucius and Narcissa one last nod before stepping onto the train behind Draco.

As Lana stepped onto the train she followed Draco to one of the last compartments as the two entered into the compartment they were met with two extremely familiar faces. Pansy let out a loud squeal as she spotted Lana, Pansy hugging the girl tightly as she spoke "I know we just saw each other two weeks ago but, GIRRRRLLL I MISSED YOU!" Lana let out a soft giggle as the two girls broke from the hug taking their seats across from Draco and Blaise "I missed you too Pans" Lana's eyes quickly shifting from the girl to Blaise only to find his eyes already locked on her 'shit' she looked away as fast as she looked at him, Blaise had always been like a brother to her, but this summer something had happened to change that. Draco's voice broke the girl from her thoughts as he spoke "I can't believe we still have 2 years left of this shithole, I just want to graduate and be done with this place" Lana's mouth pulled into a smirk as the next words left her lips "We all know you secretly love this place, you're basically Professor Snape's little bitch" Draco glared at Lana as she Blaise and Pansy broke out in streams of laughter. "I AM NOT!" Draco's voice rising with a hint of anger at the girl as she poked fun at him. "Anyway..." Lana's tone turning serious as she got up to close the compartment door seeking privacy for the four of them before returning to her seat.  "My father has asked me to pass along tasks to each of you, as you weren't at the last meeting" Pansy and Blaise' attention turned to the girl, Lana looked to the group as her voice became stern "Our task is simple, we must fix the vanishing cabinet in the Room of Requirement there is no room for error in this task, Father has assured me that if we fail the consequences will be dire" Lana swallowed hard as she continued to speak "Once the cabinet is fixed the next task will be issued" the girls shoulders slumped a little as the weight of being a Riddle began to take its toll. Lana had a task of her own one she was sure would change her forever, the girl wasn't to tell anyone about this task as her fathers words rang through her mind her eyes drifted out the window at the passing mountains "Daughter, you alone must kill Professor Dumbledore, you must prove you are a true Riddle".

The Train came to a screeching halt as it pulled up to Hogwarts, Lana got up quickly as she pulled her trunk from over her head stepping out of the compartment into the crowded hall, she kept her head down as she walked towards the front of the train. The girls thoughts completely consumed her as her fathers words kept replaying in her mind, how was she to kill the man that had taught her for so many years, the man that she had grown accustomed to protecting her and the rest of her classmates, the one man who above all had made her feel safe in her fathers ruthless world. As the girl got closer to exiting the train she bumped into a hard surface causing her to fall on her ass, "Would you watch where your going?" her voice full of annoyance as she raised her eyes to see who she had bumped into she saw Oliver Wood, the Gryffindor Keeper staring back at her. "Oh, Oliver I'm sorr-" she quickly tried to get out before the boy cut her off "It's quite alright Lana" his soft accent sent shivers down her spine, as she looked up at the boy his hazel eyes staring back at her he reached his hand down to help her up, taking the boys hand she immediately noticed how surprisingly soft it was for a Quidditch player. "Thank you Oliver, again I'm really sorry" he shook his head chuckling softly at the girl "no need to apologize, it's no big deal" Lana's cheeks started to heat up as she realized she was still holding on to the boys hand, she quickly dropped it before dusting herself off and fixing her robes a slight smirk crossed her lips she was about to say something when a familiar voice came up behind her "Oi, Lana...what are you doing talking to this filthy mud blood?" a sneer crossing the boys lips as he gazed in disgust at Oliver, the girls head turned towards the blonde approaching her "Shove Off Draco, I was just apologizing for bumping into him" the girls eyes rolled as she started to walk off Draco grabbing her wrist spinning her back towards him his teeth gritted together his hand still firmly placed on her wrist "Lana, you're a bloody Riddle...Start acting like one!" The girls green eyes locked onto the boys piercing blue ones "I never asked to be one" she spat pulling her wrist away from his grasp she turned and continued walking exiting the train in one swift movement, this year hadn't even begun and it was already shaping up to be an interesting one.
