Tw : Death (it's not graphic but I'll say when it starts and put a summary)
I hummed as I walked along the beach. It had been a while since I had taken my evening stroll.
The sand crunched underneath my boots as I walked, the smell of fresh salty air filled my nostrils. If he was here he'd talk about the saline solution. He was always weird like that. I brush that thought aside as I continue to walk. The wind picks up slightly as I carry of. I close my eyes and pretend it sweeps away my
wrongs and woes instead of just my hair. As I walk, I turn to look at the sun. As it sets it turns the sky into a rainbow of pastels. The sky was full of pinks, or games, yellow, and flaming reds that fades into seas of deep blue. Clouds lazily drifted by, looking like this wispy strange of string that laced the heavens to the earth. The soft wind makes the willow's branches move ever so slightly, their curtains swaying from side to side.I stood on the rock by the bay, still humming along. I sat down, letting the world turn around me.
I would say 'I would want nothing to change about this moment', but I'd be lying. For this view was lovely, yet I had no one t9 share it with. When people hear of this they often are confused. I'm pretty smart and not to bad looking. Not to brag but a lot of people tend to say I'm rather handsome. You know what? Who cares? A bit of self love is always good. I'm fricken gorgeous!
But that doesn't change the fact that I'm all alone.I closed my eyes, letting the sweet melody of nature drift into my ears. It was peaceful.
The grasshoppers where chirping, the birds sang along as the fireflies started to wake up and dance along.(Start of Tw)
Then a voice cut through it all.It was loud and full of agony. I rushed to stand up and opened my eyes, but of course.
Running to where I heard the sound, I started looking around. To my left it went into the deep woods, my right the lake, but in the middle was a cave entrance. I glanced around again and weighed my options.Option one, go into the forest. The set backs where creatures and if the person was in the cave, I'd be too far.
Option two, go into the cave. I might waste a bit of time, but if they where in there I'd be there to try and help.
Option three, give up. It's none of my beeswax anyways. Option three was obviously out.I thought for a moment more before turning to the cave. I ran in, the gravel crunching
with each quick step. I looked around, the cave covered in darkness. The walls where made of big solid rock with patches of moss clinging to it."Hello?" I called out. I waited, but got no response. I heard a flop and turned around.
On the floor was.....a fish? I crouched down to look at it. It had a large hook in its stomach. Grimacing at the poor thing, I assumed it was to die. I know I'd feel bad but it would be better to put it out of it's misery than let it suffer. I tried to scoop it up to take it outside, but it evaded my grasp. "Stupid fish," I muttered. I contained to go after the fish as moonlight seeped into the cave entrance. I glanced away for a moment, but when I looked back, the fish was gone. Instead a woman lay there. Her hair was long, curly, bushy, and a firey red. It looked as if she had so much attitude it was forced
to come out in her hair. Her eyes where half opened and an emerald green. I ran to her side, wincing upon looking at her side. Needless to say, she had a pretty bad wound."Miss? It's ok, I'm here to help. Just tell me what you need," I said trying to be as calm as possible.
The woman just shook her head. "Miss please. I just need instruction. What hurts the most? Do you want anything? Water?" I asked. I honestly didn't know if I could help her, but if she wanted something, I would do my best to get it. She raised a shaky arm, trying to pint at something. "Mam, just tell me if you can. Try and save your strength," I said, gently pushing her hand down.I heard her choke and cough . "My baby, " her voice was raspy and sounded as if every word pained her.
My eyes widened and looked around. I got up, promising to be right back. I walked into the cave space,
my eyes scanning the place. Eventually I saw what seemed to be a cradle held up by ricks. Within it was a small moving bundle. I picked up what I assumed to be the baby and ran back over. I carefully handed her the bundle. It was as if her face lit up."Hi baby," she said with a cough . The baby just babbled back. She didn't understand.
She just smiled and held her close, "Your so big! " she cooed at the young one. I tried to speak, but she shot me a look. She acted as if she was less than a month old, yet she looked around a year old. Must be a creature. They age to age five in a month, the through ten normally. She started to hack again, "Hey baby, Mama has got to go soon."
The baby just giggled and touched her nose. She turned to me and I felt my blood run cold. "Find her a good," she started to couch, blood running from the corner of her mouth, "home. Please?"I nodded quickly and she turned back to the young one. "Fundy, please remember that your Mama loved you so much. One day you'll find Papa." I was about to open my mouth to protest about her not being with her father but she shook her head and mouthed 'he's not ready.' She hugged the child close before handing her to me with a grateful smile. "Thank you for pleasing a dying mother." And with one more ragged breath, she was gone. Her eyes flicked out like a flame that was blown out much too early. The wonder and hope, all gone.
(Tw over)
(Summary: he found a fish that ruins human. She died but made him promise to find her son a home.)I held the blanket wrapped child. She too had bright eyes, but hers where a hazel color.
She started speaking gibberish and reached out. Her small hand touched my cheek and my heart melted. I knew I couldn't let her go into the wrong hands. Everyone deserves a parent and she asked me to find a good home. While not the best, I figured I'd do just fine.I walked outside the cave and fireflies flew away right before each step.
The sky was a deep blue as stars twinkled around us. The child looked at me with a tilted head."Hi Fundy, my name is Eret," I said with a small smile.
"Da?" The child said in a confused tone.
I chuckled, holding her close to my chest. I kissed her forehead. "That works too."
(Literally just wrote this because someone said I should of added Eret in a scene.
You have them to thank for Sally's death.
Jk she was always gunna die, but at least this way Eret was there. In the original Fundy was left alone so.)
