~ 𝙭𝙭𝙫𝙞𝙞 ~

"I can't believe you guys." Jungeun complained as the group walked into Jinsol's mansion once again. As much as she was annoyed at her friends for conspiring against her she was also feeling nervous to face Jinsol again after she had confronted her about a week ago. After being kidnapped and thrown in the trunk, Jungeun ended up having a heart to heart with Haseul on the way and she did feel a bit of weight lift off her shoulders but there was still something missing. She'd had some time to think about the whole situation and she felt as if she might be ready to speak to Jinsol again. It might have sounded stupid but she kind of missed having her around, especially at their study dates. The past week hadn't felt the same without Jinsol's light hearted nature and comforting presence to distract Jungeun from the mess that was her life.

Jungeun was struck out of her train of thought when Jiwoo tried to steer her away from the main living room. "Uh, maybe we should get drinks first." Jiwoo said nervously, only making Jungeun more suspicious as Haseul and Heejin tried to block her sight. "What's wrong with you guys? You're the ones who wanted me to-"

When the crowd parted a bit, she suddenly realised why her friends didn't want her to go in there. Jungeun watched as Jinsol and Sana seemed to be very cosy with each other and she couldn't but feel a slight bit of jealousy. "Well, Jinsol really looks like she's in the mood to apologise doesn't she."

Jiwon not so gently pulled Sana away from the party host as both her and Jinsol's friends became very uncomfortable with the display. Hyunjin and Hyejoo helped by pulling a stumbling Jinsol away, the older girl gesturing a phone sign and mouthing "Call me" to a winking Sana. Vivi lightly slapped Jinsol to snap her out of her drunken haze. "Hey! Stop flirting with Sana and go get your girl."

"Wha- what the fuck are you talking about Kahei?" Jinsol slurred as Hyejoo pointed towards an irritated Jungeun trying to leave the room but she was being stopped by her friends. Jinsol tilted her head curiously "Jungie?"

Yerim alerted Vivi that she was going to put
their plan in motion as she went to go talk to Jungeun. Vivi turned to Hyunjin who nodded assuringly before grabbing Jinsol's shoulders and shaking her abruptly. "Jinsol we haven't got long so whatever sober part of you is left in there has to listen to me. Jungeun's here and this is probably your last chance to say what you need to to her. So go up there and follow our lead."

Jinsol didn't exactly get what Hyunjin was saying but still nodded, taking a sip of the water Yeojin handed her and going up to the front of her living room to get everyone's attention. Yerim proceeded to tap a whining Jungeun on the shoulder, catching her by surprise. "Hey Jungeun, um, I think you might want to listen to this."

Jungeun turned as she saw Jinsol nervously holding the karaoke mic everyone had been singing their hearts out in earlier. She'd seemed to have gotten everyone's attention but was obviously waiting for one particular person. "Uh, hey everyone. Happy spring break!"

The crowd cheered and tapped their plastic cups together while Jinsol hiccuped as she tried to continue. "Not to be an emotional drunk or anything but I just wanted to clear a few things. First of all, Chan, I googled who Pythagoras is and I now know that he's not your friend. That dude is ancient."

Everyone laughed while Jungeun tried her hardest to suppress a smile. This was what she'd been missing for the short period of time she was away from her study partner. Yerim smiled as she saw Jungeun turn back to fully face drunk Jinsol making her speech. She never really told anyone but she'd always thought Jinsol and Jungeun would make a cute couple and now it seemed her thoughts could be a reality.

"There's someone here who I hurt. Like a lot. And instead of facing her I ditched school for the week, like a coward. But I hope they'll listen to what I have to say." Jinsol started, taking a small pause as she made eye contact with Jungeun. "I've kept a secret and whether or not I meant to hurt you, I know I did. There's nothing I can do to erase that but I just hope you'll give me the chance to earn your trust back. Someone once told me that over time enemies begin to resemble lovers. Over the past few months, and even longer than that, you've been a big part of my life and done more for me than you realise. I know I've been getting to know you as someone else but I want you to open up to me as... well, me. But for now, all I want is your forgiveness."

Everyone was silent, taking in Jinsol's drunken monologue until Sana decided to give her own drunk speech. "Jinsol, I didn't realise we were enemies but I'd be happy to be your love-" Soojin covered Sana's mouth from behind and dragged her out of the living room with Tzuyu. The display was enough to get a jealous Jungeun side eying Sana as she left the room and everyone else back to doing their own thing.
